Shaleshifter Posted yesterday at 06:57 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:57 PM (edited) Firstly, I am surprised that no Tigers fans have started a thred for this meeting. This is the first of two back to back meetings for the Pirates on their northern tour. I did both meetings last year and was lucky enough to see two victory's. Glasgow are riding high after Wednesdays win at Oxford and will be confident of continuing thier winning ways. I hope that Poole can put up a fight and keep it close but, we are not as strong as last season. Thoughts? LisaColette Posted yesterday at 07:15 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:15 PM It won't be close imo. Glasgow (TM Cami Brown) Chris Harris, Ben Barker (guest), Rider Replacement for Dan Thompson, Leon Flint, Kyle Howarth, Freddie Hodder, Max Perry, Ace Pijper Poole (TM Gary Havelock) Richard Lawson, Tobias Thomsen, Jason Edwards (guest), Lewis Kerr, Anders Rowe, Paul Starke, Darryl Ritchings I wonder why Glasgow aren't doing r/r at 2 like everyone seems to do? Because our reserves are weakest in the league. R/R for Dan all top 4 can take a ride I believe. northyorksbear
Can't see how Ace Pijper can be number 8, I think it may be Stene
ASpeedwayfan
Barker a huge upgrade on Boughen, Glasgow will win but can the pirates get 40? Would be the right time for Kerr to come to the party but not too sure how he goes round Ashfield. Pirates could pull off a bit of a shock but would need all 7 firing and that’s not happened yet this season

Not every team can have as good a manager as Cami Brown . Harris in heat 8 is a waste really, better using him against Lawson or Rowe. Yeah I think anything over 5 and we would have to be happy with, Zach seems to only be good for BelleVue and in heat 14 at the moment! Big meeting for Starke and Ritchings, get the feeling they need to be almost always beating there opposite numbers for Poole to be close, even then you’d expect Harris Barker Howarth and Flint who will all have 5 or 6 rides to make it near impossible for the pirates to get heat advantages
Robinh88
Hope it is a good meeting. Glasgow never dissapoints TBF looking forward to this.

Because Cami the team manager knows what he's doing (never thought I'd say that). r/r at 2 means Chris Harris in heat 8 - waste of your top riders' extra ride coming against a reserve & second string imo Edited 20 hours ago by szkocjasid
szkocjasid
Barker is a big upgrade on Boughen. Don't think r/r should awaken Glasgow too much, but may score a point or two less than Dan T would've. On paper could be a big win, but Glasgow's weak reserves could keep it closer. Mind Starke & Ritchings aren't the strongest of opposition, so who knows?

Flint can only go in heat 12, so Barker in heat 3. Harris gets a two-on-the-trot, but none of the other 3 do. Starke and Ritchings are not the strongest but they should beat Perry and Hodder although both of those look more on the pace recently in my opinion. Wee Eck
I’m clearly lost these days…….:) Why a guest for Boughen who rode (badly again) for KL last night? Likewise Dan Thompson rode for Ipswich. And what’s happened to Zach? 1

I'd be more concerned on why a guest for Cook whose chosen to ride in Poland over the club he captains personally!!
