Poole Pirates Vs Redcar Bears June 11th

Recommended Posts

Between taking the points against us on Friday night and dismantling Redcar with ease last night, Poole haven’t half laid down a marker.

Lawson was outstanding. His second, third and fourth rides were as textbook a win as you’re ever likely to see. Flying.

Add Cairns to the mix and that’s a recipe for success.

Looks like Lawson has taken himself up ANOTHER level this year.

Poole are clearly the team to beat. Can't see anyone living with them over 2 legs at present.

I think Joe T deserves more credit for his performance than he's getting (from some), he only lost to Kerr (x2) Cook & Lawson. Defeated Rowe, Starke, Thomsen & Ritchings.

Only lost to Poole's top 4, defeated the bottom 3, plus Rowe.

A good showing from Redcar's guest.

It's amazing, a couple of weeks ago, it seems a majority of fans were calling for changes, saying the team wasn't good enough, Cairns alone won't turn them into challengers. Then all of a sudden 2 good results & they're the team to beat!

Speedway fans can be a fickle bunch lol!

We’re always in the top three by many people as favourites for the title .

Agreed! Maybe it is side effect of to much success?

There's never too much success!!! Being in my mid-70s now, it takes some special racing to get me up and out of my grandstand seat and cheering. I did that twice last night!! I think I actually worried my granddaughter!!!🤣

We do seem to be dominating lower league speedway, shame we never race against any of the top teams in the country

Last night Redcar and Glasgow on Friday had 5 and 4 Premiership riders respectively. Berwick next week have 5 riders in Premiership teams. Poole themselves have 4. Championship racing is far more competitive and has much more fixture variety. Goodness knows what the League structure will be in 2026 with no Brummies and various other rumours about current 'premiership' teams?!
