If Belle Vue fans aren’t bothered and are happy for him to miss the meeting then everyone else’s opinion doesn’t really matter I suppose. For me, it is his decision and if he isn’t ready or fit then it is what it is, but if he isn’t 100% then he should miss the SGP as well, it’s the same feeling I had for our rider in Doyley, shouldn’t have rode x2 SGPs. Priority should be full fitness, that was the reason for my first post about this. Until you’re 100% you shouldn’t ride British, Polish or SGP. If Wroclaw aren’t pushing him to be back for there meeting then we know for sure he isn’t 100% and SGP is something that could push his progress further back, however if he rides for Wroclaw then he has chosen to miss Belle Vue. That’s IMO.

Isnt there more pressure for riders to come back when not ready in Poland? Isnt there a rule where they have to pay back a chunk of their signing on fee? I dont know but im sure something about this was mentioned in an article i read, if so its no wonder riders will come back when not 100%.

Probably won’t be a league to ride in so at least Brady will be able to catch Eastenders on a Thursday night.

What will UK Speedway look like next season?..

Doof! Doof! Doof! Doof! Doof!:D

2025:

Kurtz crashes in Manchester SGP

He injuries his old injury from one week before.

He continue in the meeting and comes second like a true determined rider would.

Kurtz pulls out of Belle Vue’s next meeting.

He obviously isn’t that same breed you speak of.

Sounds like a bit of pussy... Kurtz 😺

Other leagues...

I think n the GP's you are OK...

It has cost Doyle money and Woffy got special dispensation from his team this year, given he was riding in a "sparring meeting", and not an actual league match..

Technically they could have withheld his up front fee but felt it the wrong thing to do....

Call me negative but I don’t understand how people think there will be a ‘top’ league in the UK next year, but that’s an entirely different conversation to Lions vs Aces tonight.

What did he say for those not watching?

Along the lines of track prep being crap, no need for so much water. Rather a bit of dust where you can still race instead of flooding it to try and keep the dust down. Resulting in crap racing, crowds going down and tracks shutting in the process, used Birmingham as an example.

He’s right in everything he said.

He doesn't have to get covered in dust for over 20 quid a pop though.

Didn't hear him complaining at the weekend. Track is not over watered at all, there's dust in the air! The Belle Vue throttle jockey's are just pish poor

It’s down to the discretion of the club and also I believe a percent of rides they partake in. I don’t think they are under quite as much pressure as people would make you believe on this forum. Doyle was under no pressure to come back, I assume the pressure would rack up if they are into the playoff stages though. Emil was not pressured into riding last season when he got injured in the playoffs period but he chose to.
People keep missing the point I’m making. Nothing about missing the British league or Polish league, if you’re injured then fair enough, but don’t then enter an individual contest for your own benefit.

Looks like Belle Vue are struggling tonight without him.

I don't think that's a rules just something clubs put in their contracts. What would happen if a top rider put his foot down & didn't agree with having to pay back his signing on fee? Zmarzlik for example, you can't tell me if Lublin weren't gonna sign him in his terms that there wouldn't be another 7 Extraliga clubs after his signature.

But no rider ever stands up to the Polish clubs tbh

Course not. Nobody at Belle Vue seems that bothered. The whole thing stinks!

The league / play-off scenario makes it easy for clubs not to care.

In this case Belle Vue will have less points money to pay out, one less travel expense to pay out, doesn't hurt their home crowd & even a 70-20 tanking wouldn't hurt their title chances in the slightest.

Get rid of the play-offs & clubs would care more!

I’d rather get covered in dust if it involved good racing than watch riders on an over watered track. But you’ve kept your clothes clean so happy days.

If he'd won heat 1 he'd have said sod all. We all know it.
