Berwick v Redcar 21/06/25 Championship

Recommended Posts

Bandits deserved winners even without their top 2 riders. Excellent guest in Howarth and the rest of the top 5 all chipped in. Home team attacked the track much more.

For the Bears it was meeting lost when King fell at the front of Heat 3 and IRR went into operation, but hugely disappointed in the overall team display, particularly Riss who threw away points in numerous rides. Hope Danny hasn’t damaged his wrist too badly.

Not an enjoyable night from a Bears perspective .

Who was Danny King beating that IRR didn’t? Howarth and Kemp were the only two Bandits who beat him, and he scored 5 points here in the cup.

I've often noticed fuel gushing out of the top of the fuel filler caps on many bikes over the years... I saw tonight that Erik Riss seems to have a tube coming out the top of his filler cap leading back into the tank?

The tank has to breathe so there is a hole in fuel cap and the vibration of the engine makes a bit of fuel come out that hole when tank is full, some fuel caps have a bit of pipe some don’t, it doesn’t go back in tank

Where does it go? I remember watching it gushing out of the tank of Jason Crump years go in the GP's at quite some pressure as he was leaning it over to one side... maybe over the rider next to him lol

Gavin Parr always going on about "Keyboard Warriors"... or paying punters as I prefer to call them.

I can’t talk for speedway bikes because I’ve never ridden one but my carbed road bike has many breather and overflow pipes, most of which are just angled down towards the road.

sorry I’ve quoted the wrong comment there it was supposed to be your previous one.

Well done to Bandits, well deserved and some very good racing.Simon Lambert summed the track up perfectly ( it’s a man’s track).IMO Danny just tried to race Drew into 3rd/4th bend and had to pull it back and just lost the back-end.Interesting Riss said the track was going to be graded, but they did not do it before re-run of race. Bandits got stuck in and deserved the win with some fearless riding.Entertaining meeting IMO. I admire Gavin Parr for his honesty during meetings,no excuses from him.

Riss seems to have regressed since his illness a couple of seasons ago.Used to fly round Berwick ( dirt or slick).Gave away a lot of good positions in his races.

Redcar were on a 5-1 and Riss was holding Wright up. Wright passed him then tried to team ride him both Bandits passed him.

Which must explain why he is above Kildemand, Wright, Tungate and Janowski in this year's Oxford averages and that shocking performance against Ipswich where he only got 20 points.

Wasn't a good performance from him last night to be fair to Fromafar.

Probably passed more times last night than all other matches he's raced at Berwick combined.

If he was his usual self then Berwick would have most probably lost.

Good match, Berwick thoroughly deserved winners attacking the track more than the Bears except Charles may have been different if Danny hadn't done his wrist,as a team all the Bandits rode well including Kyle

Your post was a general comment on Riss' form this year (look at the first clause). I was responding to that

If I find fault with your opinion it is probably because you are posting rubbish. And if you can't be bothered to work out my gender - well it ain't hard to find out.
