TTT
Only Premiership line-up King's Lynn could've had without having to book a Championship rider to guest who doesn't have a Premiership team place. 1. Iversen 2. R/R 3. Kemp (G) 4. Lawson 5. Harris 6. Klindt 7. Scott (RS) I wouldn't bother running either and I'd gladly take all of the backlash for it if I was in Buster's position.

Don’t usually see eye-to-eye with Ipswich supporters, but thank you for siding with Buster on this one. However, the same issues do seem to be reoccurring year-after-year, so there must be a common denominator somewhere.
IainB
If they don't want to run the meeting they should forfeit the points... season after season the rest of the sport has to bend over backwards to accommodate King's Lynn and their dodgy call offs. 3

Us and you have good perfect race day weather tomorrow. Your not telling me they can’t sort the track out tomorrow I read your "no rain all day and nice warm windy weather tomorrow" comment, as there has been no rain here today, and it tomorrow will be nice, warm, and windy.. I agree, if we get no rain tomorrow, the track could of been ready.

PhilTheAce
Chris Holder went away with on holiday Saturday. so either Lynn had no intentions to race and riders knew days ago. Why are 2 guests needed? Kvech rode fine last night and nearly made GP final. Ben Cook rode in Poland today and scored 12. As you can see from the team I put above… Kvech was in the team for tomorrow night riding at 5!… but Ben Cook wasn’t going to be riding, Lynn were looking for a guest for him and I’m not sure they had one yet when the meeting was postponed

ouch
1 hour ago, TTT said: Why should King's Lynn run at a financial loss by putting out a weakened team? Promoters are trying to run a business that's already non-profitable for most. It's not Buster's fault that a throttle jockey (Ben Cook) cba to show up for a job that he signed up for, No guarantee Jan Kvech would've taken part either due to him being brainwashed by Piotr Baron who thinks he's Mr. Know it all. Potentially 2 Guests needed with Belle Vue v Birmingham and Oxford v Ipswich also taking place on Monday would leave Leicester riders to choose from. Fricke, Masters and Douglas don't fit, Becker is injured and Howarth is guesting for Oxford. So the only Premiership option on the table would be Kemp 4.00 for Cook 6.04 as well as R/R for Kvech if he was a no show which is probably the case otherwise this meeting would've went ahead imo with R/R just in place of Ben Cook. This situation reeks of the Tarasenko situation last year, The last thing we need is anymore British clubs futures being plunged into doubt due to Mickey takers like Ben Cook. Excellent post and if it is a true reflection of the facts then why not say this in the press release? Making up nonsense about a rain off is insulting to his paying customers.

Chris
Wasn't Chapman stopped by the BSPL from calling off meetings at Lynn due to numerous dodgy call offs? I believe an official from the BSPL/SCB had to sign it off. Why was this stopped? The blokes a complete see you next Tuesday 1 1
szkocjasid
I can't understand the logic of defending a call-off because Lynn would have a weak team. What happens if this is the case every week, do they just not finish the season? What if Birmingham took that attitude, they'd have cancelled every match! The fact that Monday's weather looks so good, makes me feel that it was called off too early. At least try & sort the track once it's had a couple of hours of sun on it. Obvious to everyone it's an injury rain off... would have potentially been bans for jan and Ben if they didn't ride... Best all round for us. No different to early ipswich call off a few weeks back Ipswich rained all day and even up to the point of the racing start time so it’s a big difference. Don’t bring us into your excuses for rain offs 😂 1

A slow, inexorable, agonising death... By a thousand, and more, self inflicted cuts... It does seem that almost the majority of threads get taken over by some nonsense or other that a proper professional sport could never countenance... Self policing can be a real issue for some organisations...
