Think you’ll find Jenkins opted out of the scheme in 2024, but somehow managed to get shoehorned back into it for Ipswich’s benefit in 25… Jenkins didn't opt out of the scheme, he "graduated" because his average went above 4.00. Once it dropped down, he was eligible to be a RS again, that's always been in the rules.

We were supposed to have Jenkins at RS this year (even though I think it’s wrong anyway that he was allowed back into the scheme after opting out in 2024), but Ipswich kicked up such a stink that they couldn’t retain him once he opted back into the scheme that he stayed there. So much for the draft system… That should never have been allowed, once Jenkins was eligible again, then Birmingham, Lynn or Oxford should have picked him. So what if Ipswich wanted him back? The rules were clear, he wasn't their current RS so should've been part of the draft.

I know a lot of you will have seen we wanted to use him on Monday at Oxford and what a massive drama that was. Unfortunately, the SCB said he wasn’t going to be allowed to guest so we wanted to put him in the team and then take him out in the same way King’s Lynn have been doing with their Rising Stars. Then we were told Monday morning that we weren’t allowed to do that, but King’s Lynn still would be which to me is completely wrong and I know Chris feels the same way. This is what we work with, and we will do our very best and I’m sure we will all give him a great welcome on Thursday. If that's true, it's pure insanity by the BSPL / SCB, you can't have different rules for different teams. Maybe Ipswich wanted to use Foord and also guests for Jenkins, but we're told they couldn't drop Foord for Jenkins to use guests. Which makes sense, clubs can't sign an already injured rider & expect to use guests!

Robinh88
Statistically BV do have the best spearhead in the league.

I agree, this is why Ipswich fans shouldn’t throw stones as too many of them live in glass houses. And this is why Hawkins shouldn’t be concerning himself with what is happening at Lynn now.

Crack on and worry about yourself lads, no need to concern yourself with what’s going on with us… I’m sure he would have said the same whichever team was allowed to do that, while the Witches have been denied - although, to be fair to the SCB, I can understand why they’ve made that decision. Home... Kurtz 10.38, Bewley 10.17. Away... Kurtz 8.20, Bewley 8.50. Home... Doyle 8.89. Emil 8.86. Away... Doyle 7.84, Emil 7.49 Jason isn't fully fit though. I'd take Ippo's pair to outscore BV's at the Foxhole though. Edited July 8 by Bald Bloke

Statistically though, Ipswich are the best team in Britain being top of the league. We tried a power house of Doyle and Emil before and it only got us so far, now we have a well round team so we are the best team… statistically. Kurtz and Bewley also in their prime whereas Doyle and Emil getting past their best
SaddlebowRoad
one assumes that if scott or harrsion were riding in an ndl/ndt fixture on the same night as a stars meeting then they would have to fulfil their third tier commitment too im sure there is some extra detail that mr hawkins has chosen to omit from his bleat stirring the pot ahead of monday perhaps
Gavan
I don’t think any Ipswich fan will disagree that Bewley and Kurtz are the best top 2 in the league Fact is neither ride Foxhall that well and Lidsey and Cook struggle as well Keep Bewley and Kurtz to 24 between then Ipswich win easily

Scott and Harrison are being alternated in the official declared RS spot and if they were the one declared at the time of a NDL clash then the Prem would have priority A rider however cannot miss a NDL meeting to take a guest booking in thd Prem That is the reason Foord could not guest (nothing to do with the Worky situation) and why originally he was declared formally in place of JJ This was only reversed when it was stated it was not allowed to mix and match in the way Lynn are doing
