Entertaining meeting tonight though can’t believe the Workington fans going hyper over a bonus point. Lots of talking points. Poor Tobias probably doesn’t know where his arse from his el ow is after tonight. Rotten luck in heat 6 when on a 5-1 with Lawson. Looked from the grandstand that he tried to cut to the inside down the back straight but clipped the back of Lawson which brought them both down. Then in heat 8 a coming together with Foord which again saw them both in the deck. I certainly wouldn’t have given Tobias his last ride but I am not Middlo.

Rowe in heat 7. Not sure what happened. Did a footrest go through his front wheel? His handlebars were wobbling all over the place and he had to stop.

Lawson was excellent as always. Tobias had a poor night. Kerr did OK. Three gated wins then faded. Just can’t pass. Cook started as usual poorly but was much better after that. Thought he should have got heat 14. Rowe wasn’t at his best. Stark did his usual. Cairns paid 9 good effort.

For Workington Batchelor did his usual tailed off at the back then won a race. Bowes was excellent. Etheridge best ever performance at Poole. Normally about 4 points. Violas was pretty rubbish to be honest. Hook had his best ever meeting at Poole by far. Foord was miles off it until heat 8 with a kamikaze move which ended his night.

Some good hard racing with plenty of passing. How clear are we at the top now? No idea but feel confident of top spot. Well done Workington for putting up a fight and making it entertaining.

Batch and Antti are frustrating for different reasons. If Antti wants a team place in the Premiership then he needs to reproduce his Northside racing demeanour more often away from home. The rider we see at home can be so far removed from the one we see at most away tracks.

Doesn't matter if you finish top, it's the grand final that matters, IF tonight was the final who won on aggregate ???

Seriously if you think Workington are with a chance of the title I would give your head a wobble. Full credit though for putting up a decent effort tonight though.

why shouldnt they, good for them

to lose by four with batch vuolas and foord getting nine between them is pretty remarkable

Poole top of the league …. Just done over by a patched up Workington over 2 legs … if this was a play off Poole would be out ….. so why if Workington make top 4 can’t they win it as they have clearly just been better than Poole over 2 legs????

Come on this is Poole … their fans are a different breed of weird on this forum …..beaten over 2 legs by Workington who had their 1 and 5 hardly score and an influential reserve taken out of the meeting shows that Poole are beatable

Wot happened tonight is irrelevant when it comes to another night.

But he is 100% spot on ….. over 2 legs against Workington Poole would have lost ..

and if my auntie had wheels she’d be a bike. Come on Gav you know as well as I do you don’t win leagues in July. It is encouraging for them though.

Chances of Bowes and Ethridge scoring paid 27 between them again are slim to none.

But tonight is not the cup, not the BSN and not the Grand Final. So the argument is irrelevant.

Get in comets get the bonus points, what happened to the big pilots win 🤔

Fair play to Workington, if Batchelor and Vuolas hadn't rode like idiots, you would have won, but a win is a win, 11pts clear at the top

But it wasn't

But who won on aggregate ?? Just goes to show pilots are not as good as you fans think they are, if poor worky with a 5 man team and a couple of riders not scoring well, can win on aggregate 😁

I make that 6 coz Tate's replacements scored 8+2(4) so you didn't miss him 😋

I know the league isn’t won in July

As an Ipswich fan we were touted as the best team in the top league but injuries and certain riders off form means we aren’t certain of winning anything as proven by Kings Lynn being the better side over 2 legs in the cup beating us fair and square

Most , not all , Poole fans on here are awful losers …. Maybe these 2 matches have given them a reality check that the league isn’t a cakewalk

The fact is they have been beaten over 2 legs by Workington … it doesn’t matter when in the season it is April or July they lost … Workington had their two top riders off form and their third heat leader missing

Poole are the best side in the league but they can get complacent … no offence to Workington but if they can beat Poole over 2 legs then others certainly can
