After two tough away matches the Comets are back home to face the Oxford Cheetahs who have a high scoring heat leader in Sam Masters and two very good reserve riders in Mitch McDiarmid  and Luke Killeen.

Hopefully the Comets will be back to full strength after injuries to Jye Etheridge and Vinnie Foord.

Mitch McDiarmid has moved into the main body of the team now or had on Saturday at Berwick and home last night against Redcar.

Will be interesting to see what line up turns up for Oxford. Becoming a joke with line ups this season. Ipswich tonight is a prime example.

100% no Gusts as doing GP Challenge.

More like a light breeze last night

Im hoping to make this my first visit to this track but its depending on the Oxford side if not this one will definately do the next against Edinburgh and looking at it i think that might be the better meeting anyway, no doubt the Monarchs will be well suported so a good atmosphere.

Be greedy and come twice 😁 then if/when you like it, you can return for a 3rd time against the tiggers of Glasgow 😄

Yes I enjoyed the British Grand Prix at your track on both the Friday and Saturday but the Friday was something else but the Saturday felt like after Lord Mayors show.Do not know if it was with having them on 2 consecutive nights. Will definitely be back in 2026 if Manchester have it.

I think they are planning a single GP in Manchester in 26

my phone says weather ok for tonight, anyone else confirm its ok ?

Breezy and high clouds now in worky, even bbc weather app and others says sunny afternoon/evening, so I would pack your sandwiches and come up the M6 to worky 😄 FYI peak holiday season and roadworks just before jjct 40 penrith with a 40 mph limit,  plan a little extra time, and its cash only at the GT tyres northside arena.  Enjoy the speedway

ill be going this Saturday, providing weather ok. taking 3 others with me.

Pretty stiff breeze this morning from the south west although it is due lessen into the evening. The back straight is more sheltered with the wind from this direction as there are pine trees surrounding . Any dust will affect starting gate side, any early evening sunshine will mainly be on this side also as well as bends 1&2.

I was reading that there will be a fly by along the coast by the Red Arrows who will be on their way from Blackpool to Edinburgh Tattoo around 6-30pm which will be better seen from starting gate side. Don't blame me if they don't materialise though 🤣, hope its a great meeting .
