Stretford, actually. Comes under Trafford MBC.

Yes it does but as for the original post its not relevant to crowds at the NSS as it is in close proximity. Salford and Trafford are part of Greater Manchester but different boroughs.

Debates on here often thrash about with a degree of parochial mediocrity so that  now passes on lap 1 apparently don’t count and FTG now incorporates everything that occurs on lap 1!

we then have people who were not there suggesting they know the crowd figures!

Even fans in the stadium dont know the attendance only an estimation and fans do tend to over estimate their own clubs. Sad really when nowadays people boast about crowds of 2 to 3 thousand, i can remember when every club ran with five figure crowds as the norm, including individual and challenge meetings, imagine them being supported today? Fact is speedway has fallen massively out of the general publics conscience for a number of reasons.

Just to clarify it was a very well attended meeting, for anyone who didn’t attend and just guessing.

Manchester United are based in Salford both only 10 mins from the city centre so dont think thats any issue

Manchester City Centre to Altrincham is more like 45 mins than 10!

Altrincham Town Centre to Manchester City Centre is around 20 to 25 mins in a car depending on time of day...

M56, A34 being the quickest when I used to make the journey..

Although via Sale or the Princess Parkway also used to get me in to Piccadilly easily within 30 mins...

Both very easy straight runs...

Google has Altrincham to Gorton in 25 mins via M56, M60 but "cutting through" via A34 or A6, is even quicker...

Simon Calder to play me....
