We’ve taken the aggregate bonus off them in both rounds of fixtures, the second round overwhelmingly so, and we’ll finish above them in the league. But they’ll suddenly beat us over two legs in a final (if we both get there), and they’ll also deserve it? Put the crack pipe down. We have took the bonus twice against Leicester one time without Doyle and Thompson and thumped Belle Vue twice We are the favourites against any side in the play offs … but anything can happen
foreverblue
Doyle and Emil and King and Ellis did not have the best meetings and they still only lost by 8, you know that when the play offs come around they will all be much better, I cannot see how Ipswich can lose unless Howarth is more successful next time in his attempt to take Doyle out.

Neither have come back with any reasoning behind that statement. They COULD win it, of course they could. So could any of the other three because speedway can be unpredictable and lots of weird and wonderful things can happen over two legged meetings. But I’m struggling to understand how anyone can currently say that the second placed team, who have lost out on aggregate twice already against the top placed team (isn’t that a shocker?) are going to win it and deserve to. Sorry that’s b0llocks.

I agree this season has been brilliant, but we do all know how just one off day for a rider can ruin your success. At least we have talking points and nothing is a given for the play offs, we don’t even know who will face who as everyone still faces each other in the league. Lovely, edge of the seat, technical riding.... Exactly what the sport is about... Hope they meet in the final... And there is loads of technical riding for Kelvin to enthuse about... Sorry that’s b0llocks. Because once teams get to the play-off final, none of the previous results matter. Whoever wins on aggregate deserves to be league champions. Now I dislike the play-offs & think top of the league should be crowned Champions. But now it's just a qualification league, finishing top doesn't mean anything more than having choice of home or away leg first! I don't necessarily agree Leicester will win it, I still think Ipswich are favourites, but if they do, they'll be deserving Champions. I'm basing it off current form only, Other than last night you're going back to meetings that took place a couple / few months ago when it comes to the BP statement. Currenly state of play would show that Leicester are a side that's been on a very good run of form for a while now and a team who've already got silverware to show for it and they've still got improvement in the side to come once Becker settles back in. Where's Ipswich aren't on the same form as they were at the start of the season and improvements are needed from various riders whilst also hoping that Jenkins can redescover his pre-injury form once he returns in place of Edwards. SJA Posted yesterday at 08:13 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:13 AM I watched last night on LionsTV, excellent coverage as ever. But wished I made the effort to get to Leicester. These are the best two balanced teams in the league and it would make a great final. However Ipswich fans saying Leicester would win over two legs appear not to have noticed they picked up the bonus point and they are let to drop a BP this season.

That is rubbish, Lidsey is one of the best in the league especially away, Zische and Blodorn have both been disappointing but Mulford has been better recently, Zach has had an up and down season but is capable of good scores in the play offs.
IainB
Looking at Fricke's astonishing win in heat 6 again on video and it looked a very spurious call from the ref... Is it the 3rd year now of transponders and they appear still not to be working correctly at all tracks, it was announced that the ref made his decision based on watching the video. Also, there were problems with the automated starting systema over at King's Lynn on Monday... Technology and British Speedway don't seem a great mix.
