Neila Posted yesterday at 08:02 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:02 PM A late post after the meeting Do Oxford fans not partake in the forum ?? Worky run the cheetahs close just missing out on the bonus point would have taken this result before the meeting. Some decent racing, gave the travelling comets fans something to cheer 😁 long weekend on the road for ridets and fans time for rest until the tiggers come to town on Saturday 3pm start

Woke23 Posted yesterday at 08:33 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:33 PM Seen some very good and brave racing today. Hooky, once again, impressed. I think Hooky has to be our rider of the season so far. Hes doing it home and away for us. Batch, Hooky, and very surprisingly, vuolas done good for us today. Vuolas took a while to get going but once he did he looked very quick. Tate and Jye disappointed. They looked promising after the first heat and tailed off after. Less about comets and more about Oxford now - how does Heeps keep getting positions in Oxford. He's awful.
Fromafar Posted yesterday at 08:43 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:43 PM McDiarmid must be the best newcomer of the season. Very good rider.

Oxfords 2nd heat leader with an average of 5.04. Yet Schroeck for the life of me usually gives him his 4 rides. Yesterday at Glasgow he scored 2 pts in his 1st ride. Then had 3 lasts yet he still got 4 rides!! Today was a prime example. He scored 5 from 4 rides yet Schroeck puts him in heat 15 ahead of Luke Killeen 11-1, Mitch McDiarmid 8 and Jorden Jenkins 7-1. Schroeck really is the biggest clown in the sport. How do people employ him?

topaz325
Good effort by Workington, just missed out on the bonus point , we have a rest now before the big home test against Glasgow tigers. Hope Vinnie is ok, possible broken hand ?
Toady
It gives me no pleasure to say this but even without all the injuries and the missing riders, Oxford should still have made the playoffs, but for very poor tactical decisions made by the management. Just as has happened in the past it won’t be long before fans start dropping off and the goodwill will all but evaporate.

Watched him on a few occasions on BSN and has a very tidy style. Not afraid to go up to the fence either. Hopefully, could go far.

I remember when he first came on the scene he looked like the next big thing, heeps of (excuse the pun) natural talent on a bike, from memory he had a couple of bad wrist injuries very early on in his career and was never anymore than bang average past that point when he returned to racing. How do people employ him? I was thinking where did you get that average from, can't believe he's dropped over a point from his August average! Although technically he's Oxford's 3rd heat leader. As for Schroeck don't understand how Oxford think he's the best manager available for 3 teams!

I thought that a year or two ago, he then picked up some form, seems to have lost it again though. Although that now means he's on an attractive average for 2026, so will probably get a place with someone.

Think he lost a load of weight when he was at Edinburgh and was going well for them then got injured. Shame really as mentioned he came over and showed up really well for Mildenhall. Well he’s accompanied by the promoter at virtually all meetings home and away so they must believe in him.
Fromafar
We hear this every season about these riders that will be available next season on a”bargain average”.Not many come to fruition though the next season.IMO
