Workington Comets v Glasgow Tigers 23/08/2025 3pm.

Another blockbuster meeting at the Northside Arena against a strong Glasgow outfit who hold a narrow lead for the bonus point after Workington put up a good fight at Ashfield.

Make no mistake Glasgow will be out to take all the points back North even though their play off position is secure.

Glasgow have a power packed top five although Nagels to my knowledge has never been to Northside before i,m sure he will be amongst the points on Saturday.

Hopefully  Vinnie will be fit to take his place in the team after a fall at Oxford last Sunday.

Oh and dont forget its back to a 3pm start this week.

Good luck Worky!!

Looking forward to this one, be a tough test for the comets but hopefully we can have the beating of the tigers.

Looking forward to seeing Nagel around the arena, that’s if he’s riding. I see he’s missing Edinburgh on Friday representing Denmark so hopefully he’s back for Saturday.

Unfortunately he is not back for Saturday, which is a shame as I suspect he would love the Workington track, our only benefits that his average would be 6.86 available for a guest or R,/R but I would rather see how Villads would go

Ah that’s a shame, still be a cracker of a meeting nowhere. Glasgow fans always travel well too so hopefully a good gate

Was looking forward to watching Nagel round the wide open spaces of the Northside track , but the Danish under 19's is such a important event in the grand scheme of world speedway . He's not quite at Thomas H Jonasson level at missing meetings for a Scottish club , but its getting close .

I wouldn't blame any young foreign rider who signed mid way through the season to miss national team meetings no matter how inconsequential they seem. There are a lot of very talented young Danes and Villads needs to ride in these meetings to show he is committed and fast so he'll be picked for the bigger meetings over his peers.

I think it's the FIM Europe under 19 final he's going to be racing in. [Hungary, Finland, Latvia and Norway are all represented. No Brits qualified]

I expected a clear win for Glasgow on Saturday if they had Nagel. It now makes it interesting without him. I believe harris has been around northside a few times and even guested for us last season. Hes done okay but hes definitely beatable.

Howarth, thompson and Flint all like northside too so its certainly going to be a hard meeting. Our reserves should be dominant but the 1-5 is anyone's guess. One things for certain, Vuolas will do much better than he did at Glasgow.

I seen Vilads Nagel at Ashfield against Redcar, this young man looked the real deal  so it's disappointing the Comets fans won't get to see him at The GT Tyres arena on this occasion.Still looking forward to what should be a really competitive meeting UTC!

Cami has lost a lot of Weight, always knew those special Slim fast drinks you got down at Abduls cash & carry on Mayhill Road were potent.

Only £1 for 200 sachets bargain, cant read the instructions of use though its in a language i don't recognize.
