ShanoXtra
Anyone saying Ipswich hate Sheffield need to pay close attention to this meeting! Ipswich being poor so you have a solid night and finish top of the league thus making Sheffield a very viable business to buy 😁 Edited September 25 by ShanoXtra . 2
Help
Leicester obviously never took that approach at Oxford. So come on the Lions in the Final for not riding defensive and attacking. Professional team

mikebv
Can't blame the Ipswich riders for not giving it everything tonight, especially given they have much more important meetings ahead...... I am sure the Ipswich fans on here will 100% agree and support their riders... And I whole heartedly endorse none of them saying that any riders on show tonight are a disgrace to the sport for not giving their all... Well. The ones who actually turned up and were not "poorly" obviously..

Nobody is going to suggest that. The cut off was stated, the matches weren't completed in time, and we have to accept that. But let's not pretend that we only finished top because your riders weren't trying tonight. We finished top because of the result at your place at the start of the month. We were unfortunate that the way the playoffs fell pitted us against the only team to beat us over 30 heats this season (super heats not included). Had the playoffs fallen any other way we would probably have made the final, but to win them you have to beat everybody and we didn't do that. Hopefully the final will be as exciting and close as our semi final was - you seem to be quite evenly matched so it should be a good spectacle for TV and whoever takes the trophy will be worthy winners.

I actually said as soon as Sheffield beat us at Foxhall they will finish top and that the play offs have been picked wrongly once again. JamesB
Congratulations to Sheffield but the point being made about them winning the league is a misleading one. The play off fixtures were confirmed prior to the meeting at Foxhall. Because of that, it was clear that the Witches were not that bothered in the home meeting and they certainly were not tonight. If both meetings had been run ahead of the play off fixture announcement, it is highly likely that at least one of the results would have been different. Anyway, it’s all academic.
TTT
Great performance by Ipswich tonight. Lowering averages whilst making sure that nobody came out of this pointless meeting with a knock or an injury.
