No team should have to win the League twice - it makes it a joke. Getting rid of the 'Play Offs' would also mean less fixtures at the end of the Season, meaning that the Leagues would finish earlier and fixture congestion would not be so much of a problem. Remember, when Speedway started there were no 'Play Offs' and it survived, some may say thrived. Not thriving now though - is it? 1 hour ago, StevePark said: The Championship doesn't have a "TV deal" as such, so no need for Play-offs 😛🤣 Unless fans stop attending play off meetings, then they will stay. 55 minutes ago, Weeyin said: So Ipswich and Glasgow 27 average and most of the others 29, what do you have against those teams? Don't think a Glasgow fan has anything against Glasgow!! Think they were just giving a rough guideline on how it could be, rather than exact? Nothing against them. Could have spent a couple of hours juggling the teams to make them more equal but tried to pick riders that had some association with the team. The point I was trying to show is just how watered down the teams would be. I'll ask again , how much would you pay to watch two teams at this level? And following on how much per point would riders expect. Can't see this ending well...but ending quickly! Anything close to line ups such as those would be the end of British Speedway 1

Can't see ANY GP rider being prepared to ride in the UK on a Friday or Saturday night. Nor any other Premiership rider not currently doubling down - guys like Blodorn and Lidsey for example. If they wanted/were able to ride in the UK on Fridays and Saturdays this year I'm sure they would have found a Championship berth.

As both Pickering and Douglas opted out of the Championship this year to concentrate on Poland, I don't see why you expect them to ride next year. Colsimmo58
The BSPA will ''Bury their heads in the Sand'' as usual, look after themselves and look to see if Poole and Glasgow would step up to Premiership. If they do,and thats a BIG IF,they would need massive guarantees, for giving up their Race Night for a Mon/Thur racing.
