Leicester v Sheffield POSF 2nd leg Monday 22nd September Live on TV

Recommended Posts

It was a tense meeting which made it more enjoyable.  Given both the #LEISHE meetings were good to watch, the only way is downhill I fear.  If the first few races of the final are not like last night who'll be first to moan about it on the forum?😁

Last night they even did a stadium announcement about the Panthers fixture at Mildenhall on 25/10 they didn’t have to do that.

I heard that and I hope they don't get in trouble for "promoting" a NORA meeting, if indeed it is a NORA meeting. And would that help Peterborough's cause as we know how petty and vindictive BSPL is when it comes to NORA.

Would that be Nora Batty off last of the summer wine

Nope, but he was poor.He is still a heat leader at this level in GB.

Yes he was poor last night, and yes he is a heat leader, but he is on an age related decline.

This has been one of our problems this season. With Holder senior slipping, and the loss of Tai, a rider who started the season as 4th best in our team is now having to ride at number 5 and deliver against higher level riders in heats 13 and 15. Picko has stepped up admirably, but it has massively increased the pressure on him to deliver.

Such a great advert for speedway, both teams really wanting it and good cut throat racing.

Spot on. That's what you get when you have riders of the right mindset, and let's not forget they were apparently racing on the worst track in the country (as we are reminded on a regular basis).

Every track has great meetings and racing and also dire ones. Even the NSS.

It is a lot of added pressure in 13/15 and it showed in both legs.Especially at Home.

Been saying all along it was the top boys of Sheffield who let them down

For Jack Holder to only win 2 races out of 10 is not good enough and twice at home and once away he was on the end of 5-1’s… he was entertaining to watch but still that’s not good enough

Chris Holder was so poor last night 4 points and one of those was gifted

Pickering did ok but he is at 5 because older holder has been poor. He isn’t a top 2 rider for a team as proved by 2 lasts at home in heats 13 and 15…. You can’t have your number 5 do that

Sheffield lost because of their top 3 over 2 legs

I think the issue with Flint was soon as he got moved into the main body of the team, you would have probably been in the final if he wasn’t in the main body. It looked more mental than physical and maybe the jump done him in mentality as in overthinking things. Same can be said for Thompson who also now is in our main body and struggled at first.

The play offs are a lottery and unfortunately you had the 3 heats that lost you the semis in heat 13/14/15 last week. Ipswich have got the more favourable tie with Leicester as we can ride their track better than yours. As I’ve stated before if we don’t win this year we never will!

Thompson returns to reserve for the Grand Final.

Extremely handy especially at Leicester. Ellis rides really well with his mate Doyle, so wonder if they’ll keep Doyle at 3 and Brennan at 5 so Doyle and Ellis can resume their partnership.

That would make sense, because Brennan seems to enjoy Leicester.

Exactly, every track has there great meetings and boring meetings. Unfortunately BV fans are customed to a big race track where Kurtz and Bewley riding the boards to go past people they see as enjoyment instead of a track where you need more track craft
