I would suspect however that Josh was banking on 2 UK incomes and his demands if there is only 1 (and that 1 offering only half as much as the expected 2nd) may be different in future - particularly if rider availability is scarce.....

That’s in the future for riders .This mess needs sorting out first. How they had been talking for months previously and it comes to this is unbelievable in what is meant to be a professional sport.

They must have thought the TV deal was going to be extended and all their eggs were in that particular basket?

The Oxford decision was I believe unexpected with them indicating in those talks in all the months previously that they intended to carry on on the Premiership  right up until they made the announcement that they wouldn't....

The Championship regs and limits were probably preliminary agreed on that basis hence the full steam ahead with team building despite no AGM

If so that leaves much less time to look at the alternatives
