SteveArena
Fair enough SS. Would you like Poole to have another crack at the Premiership or prefer the Championship action?

That was… sort of the point.🤯 I had already criticised the Poole track, so didn’t want to also criticise Redcar’s. I’d take ten of tonight over one from Wimborne Road though. I call that track the sleeping tablet.

We had Harris guesting for Wato in 05 or 06 when Wato had a high average and was out for season with broken ankle. Mads K whilst full time with Swindon also guested for us a couple of times. Gate and go and thank you very much. I don't think they doctored the track. It looked like a typical October time track to me. Greasy and damp. It was alway going to stay that way with the cold air imo

I didn’t find it dull due to what was at stake, but for a neutral it must have been a very poor watch. But Redcar only have themselves to blame. The overwatering took away any home advantage, rendering Wright and Kings passing ability obsolete. What were they seriously thinking? They went into tonight’s meeting as clear favourites. I was thinking the worst at heat one but when Thomsen gated and held off Wright, I thought, hmmm, perhaps we might be in with a sniff. Wright and King had a terrible meeting. There was no consistency with any Redcar rider. I bet next week the track is completely different and will suit the Redcar team much better. Pirates will need a bigger lead to take back up there. I'm not so sure, Poole won on aggregate by 12 points, so even another 6 point home win, will put the pressure on Redcar, especially after this loss. I think Poole will get a bigger win though, as they'll be high on confidence after rescuing another final.

Ray morton, ben howe, armando castanga , garry stead. Sure were more that same season.

The rule is ANY rider who has a British Speedway established average can be considered a guest, so long as their converted average fits. For Premiership riders that only usually leaves a few possibilities such as covering for the very top riders as in this case. When you look at the other top averaged Championship riders they are mostly Redcar, Glasgow or Poole riders, none of which can be considered. The rest you would argue are not on a par with the top rider in the league at this time in Richard Lawson. Obviously the very top Premiership riders wouldn’t be eligible in any case not least their average would be hideously high. So Adam Ellis for Richard Lawson is one of the few situations this would work.
