That is what Skidder/Clive (whatever name it is this week) was hinting at in the winter. So guess depends if anyone is prepared to pay it 🤷♀️

I think that Bailey will be a great capture for some team - however, the facts do not stack up for an instant 8 - 9 point average. In SON, he scored 14 + 1 from 5 races (average 3.00 per race). People seem to be concerned about Mario not adapting to British tracks after a couple of meetings but he scored 17 + 4 from 7 rides (average 3.00 per race) - Tate Zischke 0.00, Mitch McDiarmid 2.71, Bartosz Bańbor 3.11, Nazar Parnitskyi 3.00 average. I am not suggesting that Mario is going to suddenly hit a golden patch but it would be unfair not to give him a few more meetings to settle in.
Colsimmo58
Well done the Tigers for tonights victory,Hodder superb, well done Freddie, but what has happened to Harris Tonight his body language was as if '' i dont like the track, and if there is no increase in meetings next year am offski.'' He has not been at his usual best this year, perhaps slowing down to make sure he lasts the season. Need to keep going with Scunny here on Fri, another required victory.
crescent girl
With Mario Hausl having this morning ruled himself out of racing for six weeks -- heart trouble and kidney stones, really? -- it must be imperative for the Tigers shuffle the pack to replace him and Kyle Howarth before the next meeting. Guests aren't the way to go for a team looking certain to be in the play-offs. Quite apart from making it harder for the public to support a changing roster of riders, guests make it a harder "sell" when you're trying to build up ongoing public awareness in what is otherwise a successful operation. Its a hard sell to bring in riders now in August who you can only guarantee 5 meetings. Whilst its probable we will make the playoffs, that would be max 7 meetings if we reached the final. The riders would have to come from abroad or be able to double down from the Premiership making guests for Hausl anyway all the more likely. Do we have until Friday or has the deadline already reached? 15 meetings have already been raced (11 league and 4 BSN ) which is 75% of the 20 for this season

GoGoDaz
According to the Glasgow website, appears we've not been able to replace Kyle so it'll be guests for Kyle and Mario from now on as we're over 75% of the season's fixtures Hopefully we get lucky with guests, as we did on Friday. Shame for Mario as he could have done well with a spell at reserve.
Fozzie4388
The 75% fixtures completed rule needs to be either scrapped or amended that changes can be made if A) Rider quits (like Howarth) or Injured riders (Like Hausl) as long as a Doctors/Hospital note can be provided that a rider is injured. He could have to build his confidence however already being on a 4.00 that would likely have pushed his average up a bit. As it is I don't think we'll see him at Glasgow next season. He missed a few meetings riding elsewhere, never got any momentum going at home and represents poor value on a 4.00.

The fixture list has a lot to answer for regarding momentum at home IMO.The sport can’t go on working in this way.

Don’t know where we are going to get suitable guests to cover Kyle when 75% of his average is 6.22 for away meetings and 6.52 for home. Surely R/R would be preferable. Only rider that comes close is Tate Zischke who can blow so hot and cold.

I've said that for 5 years now to the point of absolute frustration. However I'm convinced it will continue as this regardless.
Colsimmo58
We cant have only one 8pt rider in each team next season, at the moment 8 teams have at least 2 riders on 8pt average Those riders will be lost in the Championship next year. Build your team to the points limit, those who cant thats your own problem.

Look at the amount of complaints that were made when Belle Vue signed Robert Lambert after the cut-off date, due to Max Fricke's injury. Maybe a 7 day grace period could be allowed for injuries / retirements after 75% of fixtures are completed, in this case Glasgow would get an extra few days to replace Hausl, but have had long enough to replace Howarth. I'm pretty sure 8.00 was chosen as there were 9 riders above 8. Next year could be, each team picks a number one from this list: Pickering 10.39 Lawson 9.25 Wright 9.11 Masters 9.01 Klindt 8.81 Thompson 8.72 Jeppesen 8.45 Cook 8.39 Harris 8.29 Then if Klindt & Cook don't want to race in the Champ, add Howarth (if he comes back),Nicholls & Kildemand to the list, if Nicholls retires, then Flint is next in line. Could make the rule, no-one can sign a second heat leader, till every team has a number one? Edited 10 hours ago by szkocjasid 1

Also r/r isn't allowed for a "no facilty" situation, has to be a guest. Not sure why that's the case, I see no reason why they can't use r/r for 75% of the missing riders average?
