Poole 2026

Recommended Posts

Mark Loram was number 7 for Hackney in the top league in 1987, they came to Canterbury for a challenge in the opening meeting. I know he scored at least 1 point as he beat me in heat 2 (i fell off while ahead of him).

Regarding Kings Lynn, the track used to be used almost every day when Darcy Ward and Kozza Smith lived at the stadium and John Oliver was local, with plenty of open practice days. The Danes used to have their pre-season practice there as well as the young Brits too

True to a degree and we do the same, we tried it with a none Poole rider this year but it didn’t work for us sadly so have gone back and sponsored a Poole rider for 2026.

We have experienced so many times in the past, we sponsor - give the money and rarely hear anything from the riders until the time comes again when they need fresh sponsorship for the next year. Not all riders, we dealt with some cracking riders one in particular was exceptional. But with money not so freely available, riders should probably learn quick on that, how many are driving around or flying daily, how long does it take to send a simple text once in a while? Don’t need to be wined and dined but a personal message would go a long way. I hear the same with clubs too. Appreciation goes along way and we don’t put money into riders for the business we do it because I love the sport and want to help riders progress in a small way and hope it helps.

Who was exceptional ?

You really must be deluded if you think it's nothing to do with the money. Nothing wrong with paying top dollar that's the way it works but don't keep denying it.

Sure the money is important, but I think people are right when they say that Poole offer something else to riders, there is a winning culture at the club with a proven expectation of success. Riders inevitably improve their GSA over the season, and have something to show for their achievements by the end. All attractive features for riders and in particular for, those starting off at Championship level.

And a full stadium to race in front of, wages on time, lots of meetings, trophies and a feel good factor. The track comments are valid as it leaves a fair bit to be desired but everything else is really attractive for a rider to sign for them if approached.

Fraser Bowes away to hospital, suspected broken collar bone, from live BSN Phil Crump classic meeting

I could be wrong but im not so sure about the broken collarbone. I watched it and after the collision he was on camera in the pits undressing himself, taking his protective vest off, etc.

I dont think youd be in any position to do that with a broken collarbone.

Could be wrong though.

If confirmed then its a 6-week recovery period, so plenty of time for the 2026 season - unless a returning-to-UK Matt Ford has other ideas?!😀

Looked like his own fault

I cant comment on this. Seen it live but they didnt show a replay. Just looked like an unfortunate racing collision. Tate was going on the outside of him and they unfortunately got tangled up
