On the evidence of my own eyes, Jacob Hook has far outperformed Tate Zischke over the past two nights.

I'm not suggesting Workington shouldn't persevere with Tate, that's their business, but I find the decision not to have kept Jacob on board quite baffling.

Thats obviously because you don't know the reason why workington didn't resign him.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Ive been told its rounded down to 7.99 🤷‍♂️

That would be wrong for two reasons:

1] mathematical convention

2] precedent Lewis Kerr went from 8.60 at the end of 2023 to 8.39 at the start of 2024.

But this is all irrelevant if the rule is 'one rider over 8', as 8.00 is not over 8.

That's maybe why they've waited for the AGM 🤷‍♂️

Not totally sure but I think 3 decimal places are only used for hierarchial order of riders within a team .

Mathematical convention is to round up if its 0.5, 0.05, etc.

2.5% of 8.2 is 0.205. Rounded up is 0.21, giving him an average of 7.99.

However, it does matter how its calculated.

You can remove 2.5% off 8.2 by multiplying it by 0.975, which would give you 7.995. Is the average the figure to be rounded or the reduction?

Mathematical convention is you only round at the last stage so 7.995 becomes 8.00 rather than the reduction being rounded up.
