works both ways i know big comets fan who cant make 3pm saturday meetings

always going to be some who prefer early starts and some who prefer later starts

personally i think speedway under flood lights is better atmosphere

So why can they not make 3pm Saturdays? I can make 6pm it is getting home on public transport which is not possible.I missed two meetings last year I think and I do prefer racing under floodlights.

There will be a way to get home if you live in one of the towns in cumbria via the bus service or train post 8pm. I suppose it depends where you live.

Yep you can but could be 9pm before you get out if running late.Worky to Carlisle and Carlisle to Hexham would not be possible on public transport.

Clashes with football (local and national), and working commitments.

There are 2 guys who are here each week who compare the meeting from newcastle who if asked may be able to lend a hand

Yep work gets in the way sometimes.Pleased I took early retirement at 55 and do not have that problem as some companies will not help and nearly all one way traffic.

Personally I'm delighted it's 6pm start time as I have a family and work so taking up my Saturday afternoon was a problem. Loys of people work Saturdays and if they do a 3pm start is not possible, I agree with others to it clashes with the football at the start and end of the season including the Reds. There are quite a few reds fans also attend speedway so if they are at home they have a choice to make. I do feel for the people relying on public transport to get there and home as its crap at best our public transport.

Not sure if the attendance went up last season on the meetings they had at 6pm but hopefully the speedway do end up getting the floodlights from Borough Park and we get real speedway under the lights how good would that be.
