In my opinion he was on the pace in the Peter craven at belle Vue, but outclassed by the top guys, but last nite looked poor could not gate, maybe did not want to risk it on a greasy track ?

Tate was Interviewed on BSN after the spill involving Kyle Howarth. He said he had changed bikes in that heat which was his 4th ride because his first bike was apparently too powerful and not driving forward off the line. Something certainly wasn't right because his starts were woeful. He got away much better in his 4th ride and was unlucky to be excluded when Kyle Howarth appeared to almost perform a right angle turn on the first corner to give him nowhere to go when he was a close second. He said he was looking for a better result in his final ride but didn't make a good start and then lost some control of the the bike going wide on turn 2 which appeared to  finish his race really.  After watching him underperform in the Aussie Champs on BSN I admit to being slightly concerned that we may once again not see the 2024 Tate in 2026. Hopefully we will and that will do his confidence a world of good for sure.

He’ll come good just needs more time to learn the tracks

I think Tate is one of them confidance riders but with injuries and getting constantly beat up rising for Belle Vue this knocks his form and with Belle Vue can see that continuing this season also unfortunately. Should have just stuck to the championship for a while building his confidance up.

On a side note has anyone seen Craig Cook on a speedway bike since he signed ? Seen hin on a mountain bike and a motorcross bike but not a speedway one.

No not yet, but it won't be long now until he is ripping up the GT Tyres Arena.

Craig is a type of rider who in the past had done only a little bit of practice, bit like batch 😀 hearing Craig has lost a bit of weight, so good to go, will be fighting Jonas for the number 1 position 😀

Tate flew out of the start in heat 2 and won easily at BV tonight, think he will do alright at reserve because the Premiership reserves are weaker than last season.

Top performance from Tate tonight ! Best in BV colours to my knowledge good to see we all know he’s got the talent .

Got a feeling Cookie is going to be fighting for the number 1 spot this year. Can’t wait for the season to start now .

Haven't seen him on a speedway bike but I know a few days ago he posted a picture of his bike and he captioned it "ready for testing"

Hearing bikes going round this morning, maybe Craig having a spin or one of the Danes have arrived ready for p+p

Cookie, Viv Muddle and latterly Vinnie practising this morning and into the afternoon. Craig looked very comfortable.

Viv Muddle has just turned 16, so he'll be looking to join the other teenage Aussie prospects here, or in Europe like Beau Bailey    Has he got UK partiality -- l don't think he's got a State Title qualification for a visa?

Cookie and Tate at 3 and 4, would be very formidable. Think we are in for an exciting season Comets fans.

Unfortunately did not turn 16 till after the various Aussie championships, don't know if he has any long lost UK relative, but from what I've seen ,only on video over winter and pre season, looks a very good prospect

I think the team picks it's self especially at home, 1. Jonas. 2. Niklas. 3. Cookie  4  Tate. 5. Batch. 6. Jammie. 7. Vinnie maybe swap 3/4 and 6/7 away from home

Viv still at school I believe and is returning home in the next few days. He won't have seen a Comets meeting if Saturdays meeting is postponed due to the weather. Last time he came over with Tate pre/ early season the weather was dry and sunny virtually the whole time, been a bit different on this occasion.

Not sure he competed in any of the  State Titles.

Yeah think that will be the line up 👍
