Of course they're on the way down, ex GP riders on the way up don't race in the Champ lol!

Anyway, while I get your point, Batchelor's form last season allows him to be a 3rd heat leader, while Cook was decent (when he was there). At their peaks, team would be over the limit.

Biggest issue with Cook would be him not starting the season, as long as he starts the club could use guests if he went missing.

I think the silence when he goes missing goes against Cook. If for example he came out & said "I'm having mental health issues & have been signed off by a doctor" I think people would be far more understanding. But when he doesn't turn up & clubs say very little, fans could feel he just can't be bothered.

It is a very long time since Batch rode for Poole and of course I realise ex gp riders are on the way down but he must have had some really poor meetings to get to his current average and he does seem to give up when not gating, despite that I do think he is worth  including on his current average.

I have every sympathy with anyone who has mental issues but if he came back without that baggage he would be a top rider in this league but is he worth the risk.

He did win the club award for the most bonus points in the season, so maybe there was a plan as well as a couple of iffy meetings?

You haven't seen your young Aussie with a big attitude problem yet 🙃

You know very well, the Ford's won't put up with it.

I would worry more about the potential signing of Craig Cook, should make a good double act with Spatchelor 😆

Seems to be an annual topic this, is Craig Cook worth the risk? He's just about as good as anyone in this league on his day. But I've lost count how many last chances he's had, how many times he's gone AWOL and let people down.

Ability - yes.

Reliability - no.

Would likely sell more season tickets, and get fans more engaged, if there was some snippets of info from the club as to who the rest of the team is going to be...

I'm all for 'building the suspense' but the complete radio silence is getting a little tiresome, especially when the club are just repeatedly advertising season tickets....

Agreed. Im bored of waiting now.

Im going to purchase a season ticket regardless of the last signings but im still waiting for them to be announced before I do.
