However let's say Bewley is a NO GO and we're allowed to pick one rider who finished the 2025 season in a declared 1-7 to replace Emil then who are you picking and why? Musielak for me because he can ride technical UK tracks well, Has expressed an interest in riding for Ipswich in the past and his GSA represents value. Pickering. Never gives up & appears to be a good team man. Certainly steer clear of the brothers grim.
TTT
Another rider who I'd target if No TV deal happens is........Scott Nicholls. Last Premiership GSA was 5.69 (5.55 after 2.5% Reduction) and he'd score bucket loads around Foxhall @ No.2 imo.

Tobi getting 6 Rides most weeks. Some tactical EF's to avoid ending the season with a much bigger GSA that would've seen him at a bottom end club again. But non of that is a factor on his away performances at Sheffield or belle vue when he barely beat the opposition , I like Musielak and he is a friend and I would have him in any team but he was very disappointing on tracks where he should of been good

Based on his last Prem matches, that's great value. But for next year I'm not so sure. Another couple of years older, plus an injury affected season. With a rumoured 36.00 Limit, Teams have to find track specialists on GSA's between 5.00 & 5.50 imo especially if they want to have a strong No.1/No.5 combo.

If he rides like he did last time in the Prem, then would be a great signing. Maybe you're convincing me it would be a good move Edited November 2 by szkocjasid

It wasn’t just heat leaders it’s was second strings and reserves too, he was beat by flint and rowe at Sheffield earlier this year scoring 3 points from 4 rides Edited November 2 by THE DEAN MACHINE

Peter Shroeck went down that route of pursuing something that was never going to happen and paid the price… What did Shroeck try to pursue? TTT
These are the strongest Teams that I can build using realistic riders only within a 36.00 Limit. Team A 1. J. Doyle 7.86 2. S. Nicholls 5.25 3. K. Rew 6.19 4. A. Ellis 5.92 5. T. Brennan 7.05 6. J. Jenkins 3.46 7. J. Edwards (RS) = 35.73 Team B 1. J. Doyle 7.86 2. S. Nicholls 5.25 3. D. King 6.50 or K. Rew 6.19 4. D. Thompson 5.87 5. T. Brennan 7.05 6. J. Jenkins 3.46 7. J. Edwards (RS) = 35.99 / 35.68 Edited November 3 by TTT

On the other in 22/23 Louis spent all winter chasing Emil when no body gave it a hope in hell of happening! Ended up doing 3 years as a witch. Louis & Ipswich are slighty different to Schroeck & Oxford.
cowboy cookie returns?
After years of poor quality top flight sides Louis seems to have nailed in over the last 4 seasons. From the emergency re direction of Harris in 2019 to the dodgy Jason Crump signing of 2020/21 Louis brought in Doyle in 2022 maybe he was a little lucky because Swindon closed there. He then followed that up with the box office signing of Emil & enticing Rew to Ipswich. Last winter saw the arrival of Brennan so I have no doubts we now have a guy who is no afraid to chase the best.

Credit to Louis but it equally helps that he has a wealthy sponsor who's a massive speedway fan.

Kings Lynn also had the same sponsor but for whatever reason couldn’t retain him. Sheffield also benefit from the same sponsor too
Aries
Pretty sure we’re Doyle and Brennan at 1 and 5. Three others for a 36 point top five. This time last year we started daily announcements of the team, which was all confirmed BEFORE the AGM. Can’t see that happening this year.. JamesB
As we are in the middle of the speculation/silly season…….. Assuming 36.0 for the top 5 and retention of the 2.5% British reduction for team building, then how about: Jason Doyle 7.86 Tom Brennan. 7.05 Adam Ellis 5.92 Dan Thompson 5.87 ……….. 26.70 That leaves a Bewley or Woffinden size hole on 8.64 and 8.45 respectively. You could also swap in Rew for Ellis or Thompson (not sure I would though). Just putting it out there.
TTT
36.00 for the Top 5. 1. D. Bewley 8.64 2. A. Ellis 5.92 3. T. Brennan 7.05 4. D. King 6.50 or K. Rew 6.19 5. J. Doyle 7.86 = 35.97 / 35.66 Edited November 4 by TTT
