Sheffield 2023.
Overall.
Jack Holder            9.40
Tobiasz Musielak    9.35
Tai Woffinden          9.12

Away
Tobiasz Musielak        8.50
Tai Woffinden              8.33
Jack Holder                8.00

That doesn't suggest if motivated and in a competitive team that Musielak will struggle to win heats home & away.

The problem there Col, is it’s 2026, not 2023. You’ve picked an anomaly of a season there which is the exception rather than the rule. Put up the season stats for the seasons prior, and after 2023 for a fairer evaluation of his skills in a heatleader position.

Which shows how quickly any agreement can change/disappear

Until the announcement nothing is guaranteed

Whilst I expect it to happen I'm almost of a mind that it may be best that it doesn't so that the whole house of cards collapses and forces a real reset

Mind numbingly boring now though isn’t it 😴

The fact someone is signing Scott Nicholls in 2026 in a “Premiership” team says everything really. That’s no slight on him either. He’s been a fine rider for many years but come on now the bloke is on the slippery slope to 50 and just spent nearly a year out injured. It’s all a bit desperate.

Could that add a new dimension to doubling up?

I think my half n half kevlars idea could actually become a reality, and a winner!!!:D..

Keeps the scores close as the rider scores exactly the same for both teams...

And doubles his points each ride, so he earns more money...

And loads of close, exciting, dead heats if he wins!!!

Come on BSP and SFL, you now it makes sense...

(And cannot t be any more ludicrous than some of the ideas implemented over the years)..

This time next year, we'll be millionaires!!!

He was used many times as a guest at Ipswich in recent times, he definitely knows the quickest way round Foxhall and would be a good addition to the team.

He was, but that was before his injury that saw him spend most of last year out injured. In all of the guest appearances he made at Foxhall for the Injured Doyle two seasons ago, he didn’t hit a single double figure score. Pretty sure I saw that stat somewhere.

Thinking back to much better and happier times late 90s early noughties  both Ipswich and Northampton would have been given a 31st January deadline to  give a definite intention to race if not by that date that would have been it until the following season but we are in very desperate times in 2026 even if it’s at best a 6 team league unless there is a rabbit out of the hat signing  the top 4 in the league already  sorted .

The longer this goes on the more worrying this becomes.

Maybe certain riders are wanted by Ipswich but they are being held back for Northampton or wherever.   Ipswich are then threatening to pull out if they are not being allowed to sign riders, which would be understandable.

There's no asset system anymore, so no one is being held back.

I was told at weekend, that Ipswich news should be released middle of this week  (I assumed to go in Thursday's Speedway Star) but things seem very hush-hush.    Sources who are normally happy to spill the beans, are staying very silent, as if sworn to secrecy.  Apparently there are no problems, and I can only think the new promotion was absolutely everything to be in place before they reveal anything.    I don't know why they can't confirm the sale has been completed, even if the team isn't totally finalised yet.  Are they planning a spectacular reveal of everything?

Again, I can't even get them to confirm any team names, but I'll have a guess at:

Tom Brennan    7.05
Richard Lawson    6.83
Tobiasz Musielak    6.63
Danny King    6.50
Scott Nicholls    5.25
Jonas Jeppesen    4.34
Jason Edwards     R/S
             =   36.60

To be fair, Ipswich committed to racing this year at the AGM in early January and were confirmed starters. There’s nothing that’s been said that that commitment was dependent on a sale of the club being completed.

If Thorssell isn’t happening, there’s 4.60 left for rider seven. Your suggestion, or Jenkins, seem to be the only options. I was told yesterday the other six in your team was done. And the source is as good as it gets.

MAYBE, they’ll have a rethink if the planned seventh rider is now off the table.

Was it "Ipswich" that made the commitment, as legally at that time, the owner was probably C.Louis who had made his intentions (or rather his non-intentions) very clear.

In which case did the BSPL knowingly make that announcement without being on safe and solid ground, taking a risk on the sale proceeding to satisfactory completion and keeping fingers crossed behind their backs?

Ipswich Speedway Promtions Ltd committed to run at the AGM.  Just the same as King's Lynn Speedway Ltd did  (and the companies which promote Belle Vue, Leicester and Sheffield).

Any could be sold at any time,  but they all committed.

No idea. All we know is the BSPL issued a post AGM statement confirming Ipswich’ participation in the 2026 season.

A wheel ain’t been turned yet!

Doesn’t need to be does it? You don’t need to be Nostradamus to predict where this prospective team finishes. It currently finishes bottom of the five. Everyone can see it, just like everyone could see Birmingham and Oxford would be finishing at the bottom last year.

The one caveat, is nothing has been confirmed team wise and we await to see who the final rider is,,

So that is the deffo six mentioned is it? Beings you said waiting to hear the final rider.

It’s Brennan, Lawson, Musielak, Nicholls, King, Edwards and one other. Those are “signed” but we don’t know whether they were signed on the provision that Thorssell was also signing and if that’s now not happening, whether that will cause them to have a rethink. My guess is probably not but we’ll see.

Don’t worry Iain they have a cunning plan and are just lulling everyone in to a false sense of security! The cavalry will arrive in the Summer 🤪
