ShanoXtra
I feel sorry for PHB in all honesty. He is a young lad who really wanted a chance to ride in Britain and he has come into a make shift team, if he came in with the actual witches or majority from last season he would have felt different and been given a massive helping hand on setups etc. Mayfield built this team to basically see the season out and if we can, get into the play offs great, if not then we tried, basically. So then stick by your decision and give the young man his chance, Ipswich fans have no expectation this season so now is a perfect time for him to learn with little to no care from most fans anyway. That’s my take on it.

Bangs now back for the Sheffield meeting on Thursday https://ipswichwitches.co/hellstrom-bangs-back-for-sheffield-showdown/ Great news, but just makes the sport look even more farcical than it already does! GeneralMelchett
2 hours ago, Aries said: Sorry but I disagree with both of you. I’ve been watching Speedway for more years than I care to remember, as have many. I’d like to think I can spot a rider who’s trying hard, but struggling, and one that isn’t. It hasn’t been the lack of scoring from Bangs that has disappointed me so far, it’s been a distinct lack of real effort that to me looks as plain as day. If others want to disagree that’s fine, no problem with that. But nothing will change my mind. Something just hasn’t been right with him right from the get go. Perhaps he’ll return (I’m not convinced) and whatever issues he’s having will be resolved? We can only hope that’s the case No problem - I have only seen him ride in the v Kings Lynn match in Witchestv let’s hope he comes back and scores a hatful - he might have been under stress etc and that’s why we maybe haven’t seen the best of him. TTT
Bangs rumoured to not return, Kennett signed, Kennett released, Mulford booked to guest, Bangs returns. WTF is going on behind the scenes?

It took me back to the days at Foxhall before Covid, quite dull racing, not much personality about either team really, although Northampton do have Troy Batchelor, and i doubt even he can remember the last time he smiled, so Northampton can be excused on his behalf. Yes decent crowd, which was good to see, but how much longer will it last, especially with the saga of Kennett, is that all Paul Hurry can attract, i expect it is. Richard Lawson also from my opinion, doesnt know the meaning of Team or Team Spirit, and clearly has an issue of wearing Ipswich kit before a meeting in the pits, and don't get me started on what i saw with his equipment??? For me, not sure how i really felt, definitely haven't missed it, which is disappointing after 46 Years of supporting this great club. I will say on Bangs, yes give the lad a chance, but rumours are growing he isn't coming back, if that's the case, Mayfield and Hurry need to get a replacement in now, not on a 28 day contract. It seems Speedway in the UK for 2026 is in a very bad place and shows no signs of improving. On Lawson, it seems they want him out, but simply can't get anybody over the line, is that the saviour of Speedway at Foxhall the Mayfield gang, or is it down to rider's not wanting to ride for Hurry, i'd say the latter if i'm honest, but i'm always wrong. Let's see what the next few days bring after the Manchester GP's, there maybe a little movement on riders when that is over, let's hope so, not just for Ipswich, but Speedway in general in the UK. spin king junior
Hopefully a lesson learnt for the new promotion. We all like to be kept in the loop with whats happening with our teams, but this should've all been sorted behind the scenes rather than out in the open.

CTRSports
Philip will 100% be back at Foxhall this Thursday Apart from "seeming to try" what are peoples expectations for his scoring this season?

SteveArena
This guy Coleman dont know his arse from his elbow! A complete clown. One minute it is Kennett then it aint. Then it is a guest then it aint. Then the original rider is back all along!! God help Ipswich with this muppet in charge and he runs the GPs aswell what a joke!!!! Hamish McRaker
You put your right leg in, your left leg out, you do the Hokey Kokey and you....fall flat on your face. So, Kennett's failing to practice has saved Ipswich from even further embarrassment!

SteveArena
Chris Louis must be shaking his head at this guy Coleman. Coleman will be a one season wonder he will realise soon he is out of his depth. Changes his mind like the weather and is useless with the rulebook. He will stroll off into the sunset at the end of the season.

Chisholm and Hurry put the team together, and decide on team matters, that was confirmed before the season started. I’m not quite getting this overreaction either. It’s all explained in yesterday’s article. They planned to use Kennett while the uncertainty around Bangs continued. They were less than impressed when a scheduled practice session after Thursdays meeting didn’t materialise when Kennett didn’t bother turning up so quite rightly binned the idea. They then booked Mulford as a guest for Thursdays meeting under the impression that Bangs would still be unavailable. That changed literally yesterday when Bangs himself is quoted as saying he only received the paperwork from Doctors to resume racing yesterday I have been working really, really hard to get some papers from the doctors to allow me to get started as soon as possible. I got that today, and now I am ready.” What have they actually done wrong here? I agree it’s an unusual set of circumstances, but circumstance it is. People are being overly critical and typical of this forum, overreacting to trivial matters.
