King's Lynn Stars 2026

If everything stays the same as ‘25, Leicester can build a team that fits to exactly 40:

1. Douglas - 8.12

2. Morris - 5.89

3. Becker - 6.88

4. Lawson - 7.00 (6.83)

5. Masters - 7.28

6. Howarth - 5.13 (5.00)

7. ? - RS

Total - 40.3 (40.0)

Maybe Dickson wants a change of tact for ‘26 and wants a strong reserve all season. Realistically - Kemp (and his bike issues) and J Thompson were the reason why Leicester didn’t go all the way this season.

Don't see any reason why he'd want to leave especially knowing that he's just had his best ever UK season statistically at Leicester.

Only thing that makes sense to me is Stewart Dickson not being able to build a title challenging 1-6 using Max @ No.1 within a 36.00 Limit.

Maybe he was one of the Leicester riders on their phones during the final.

Kemp certainly had a few bike issues, but he was not the reason Leicester didn’t go all the way. Masters didn’t have a great season considering, inconsistent in races that mattered.IMO

That would be a very good team solid all the way through and Howarth at reserve for the whole season is a massive plus.

Its just the old heat 13 and 15 issue as no big hitter but if its a watered down league and the rest only have one big hitter they might get away with it.

Best "realistic" team I can come up with if it's a 36 limit with Fricke

Max Fricke - 9.89
Jan Kvech - 6.91
Chris Harris - 6.53
Adam Bedna - 5.00
Jonas Jeppesen - 4.34
Francis Gusts - 3.00
Luke Harrison - RS
Total - 35.67

Nowt wrong with that side at all

It's tough to build a strong looking team when the limit is weaker. It's also tough when you don't know the limit lol!

To make it weaker it has to be 36 for 6 riders, which I’m pretty sure they will have to do without no tv money, can’t see it being for top 5 as otherwise it’s getting stronger.

Still the only logical reason as to why Fricke wouldn't be at Leicester imo.

Stewart Dickson wants to challenge for silverware and despite how good Fricke is, It's simply impossible to build a competitive team around his GSA using a 36.00 Limit for 6 Riders.

Even an engine room of Howarth, N. Morris and D. Thompson is pushing 17.00 Points.

I’ve heard from a very good source that Max Fricke will be a Lynn rider next season… and Harris, Kvech, Klindt will be returning

I've heard the same, Must be 36.00 for a Top 5 and another rule where both reserves have to be British youngsters under a certain age.

If it's 36.00 for 6 Riders then Fricke, Kvech, Harris & Klindt only leaves 6.21 for 2 Riders.

No idea if true but assuming it is if Lynn could get Cooper and Jody at reserve and a decent final top five rider they should win most home meetings.

It’s definitely not 36 for 6 riders

I was thinking the same, but it was the likes of Belle Vue and Ipswich with two big hitters that often cleaned up in those two heats. But like you say, if the apparent one 8 point rider rule is introduced, heats 13 & 15 might not be so predicatable.

I know there were rumours of Adam Bednar potentially ending up with the Stars but that won't happen now. As well as his Polish team, he has just announced on social media he will be riding for Grindsted in Denmark and Rospiggarna in Sweden.

He's still at school this year anyway so Britain was never on the cards.

Harris has apparently signed up for Pila in Poland and also somewhere in Sweden

I think the Harris to pila thing was a joke post that was going around as it had him joining their academy. I can’t speak or read polish but it looks like they have announced the full senior team and Harris isn’t in it.
