NC86
If Danny King does find himself without a team place that will be a disgrace , a servant of British speedway being shafted like that , no wonder nobody outside of this sport takes it seriously

As long as each team sticks to the team average that’s fine in my books
szkocjasid
If the plan was to share out the top 9 riders in the league, then Pickering signing means one would miss out. They should just edit the rule, after all the AGM hasn't been held yet, so nothing is finalised. Just find the 10th highest rider & make the ruling one above that avarage. Peter Kildemand would be 10th on 8.05, so make the rule one rider above 8.05. * they haven't listed the final GSAs yet so Kildemand might not be 10th. Principal is the same, if they want to share out the top riders, just make sure no-one gets missed out whatever average they end on. i.e could be one rider over 8, one over 7.9, one over 8.1, just don't make a rider unemployed because of the ruling.

boz
A shame to see Danny leave - almost as much for his off track/mentoring with some of the younger riders. Hope he gets fixed up somewhere. Would love to see if we could build a team to keep Pijper/Scott at reserve (if we can entice Scott to stay). Would mean a slightly weaker main body but would always leave us with good reserves.
Fortythirtyeight
King was a very good team man, excellent with the youngsters , still capable of big scores and a thoroughly nice guy . Sad that he seems to be forced out by a rule that doesn’t appear to have been thought out very well . Hope he gets fixed up quickly, if he hasn’t already been. Whilst Redcar have always shown loyalty to riders… Will the Bears take another gamble on Riss ? Jenkins to come back ? Allen pencilled in ? Might need to find a couple of 2/3 pointers with potential and that won’t be easy.

I cant believe he wont get a ride in the Championship, I would love him back at Poole.
redlead
I would take a chance on Riss, he's a 9 point rider on a 7 point average, however if he did have a recurrence then I wouldn't wait, get a rider in on a 28 day contract, and then if necessary re re-declare if needed. Biffa
Got to start with the reserves I think. Hopefully Pijper & Scott are signed for 2026.

Great Rider in my opinion.

I think if it’s a 40 point team limit, that team would be just slightly to high, even allowing for the British reduction?

Wright 8.88 Mulford 4.26 Jenkins 6.00 Edwards 6.43 Allen 6.53 Pijper 4.04 Scott 3.82 39.96 point is that’s a very good team every single rider scores decent points there, and it just fits under 40.

Like that team a lot. Really needs Edwards or Jenkins to break through though and take their careers to the next level with no King.
