Championship Predictions 2026

Recommended Posts

Based on starting 1-7's that lets face it mean nothing as hardly any will actually stay the same due to injuries / form but...

1. Poole

2. Oxford

3. Glasgow

4. Plymouth

5. Worky

6. Edinburgh

7. Berwick

8. Redcar

9. Scunthorpe

Think 4th, 5th and 6th could go to any one of the three there and hope Plymouth sneak it

Attendance wasn't down but sponsorship was! Season passes were on par. Should have increased admission price last season - as many other clubs did - as they haven't increased for a couple of years. Not bad really considering its one of their main (only) revenue streams.

I see that you say matt ford made a mistake with his admission prices last season, but very difficult to know where to pitch prices for leisure events especially in these times, actually nobody knows the right answer but the owners have got to call it as they see it.(no doubt clive you will have to have the last say,but the trap is set! haha)

It seems to me as though Scunthorpe have purposely built a side to finish last. Maybe Godfrey has already had a bet at the local bookies. In any event, can't really fathom what they're playing at.

When it comes to budgeting Rob is on a par with what Jesus could do with a loaf and a fish when he fed the five thousand.

Think the Clubs in positions 1-5 are all capable of winning the League tbh as they've all got a Rider or Two in their 1-7's that could have a breakout season.

1. GLASGOW

2. POOLE

3. OXFORD

4. REDCAR

5. PLYMOUTH

6. WORKINGTON

7. EDINBURGH

8. BERWICK

9. SCUNTHORPE

A lot of predictions are putting Worky out of the top 4 in here.

I personally think we have a very strong team. We have three potential heat leaders, with tate and the young Dane to back them up, making it a good top 5.

Vinnie should push on this season, with with only true weakness being our number 7.

I think we'll surprise many

Very entertaining looking side.

If Oxford stay fit, they win.  Too much pressure on young shoulders for Poole's reserves at this early stage in their career (, as well as Gilkes back from injury) but will be in Playoffs.  Glasgow 50/50 make playoffs, they looked vulnerable at home at times last year & it'll take a while for Hausl & Pedersen to find their feet (thats if they are not ousted by then).  Edinburgh & Redcar with their stable team from last season & well balanced 1-7 will be there.  Whatever happens, the Championship is again the best and most competitive league for racing & entertainment in the country

Disagree too weak at reserve, Poole have much stronger reserves. Both reserves are riding Premiership that is where they will be under pressure, a lot of championship reserves are weaker than Poole's.

I think this year is going to go down to the wire and bonus points will make all the difference for all teams. I Agree about Poole young reserves they might struggle if they can’t gate at Poole and might find it hard to pass stronger reserves. I think Worky and Edinburgh  could be the dark horses and at Glasgow it will all depend how the track rides too slick and they will struggle for bonus points and if it’s got plenty grip like the last few meetings like the semi final and final last season they will  get plenty bonus points and be hard to beat at home

You seem to be forgetting Cairns rode for Poole last season and achieved a 3.81 average, not bad for your first season, I can only see it going up, Rushen will get plenty of points at Poole, it is possible to pass at Poole!!
