They can charge what they want as long as a asterisk telling you how much you have to pay and can charge £30 as long as you are told beforehand.Like everything always read the small print…
Shockster
Got my tickets for the South stand as prefer to be on the straight and won't pay the grandstand prices. However, I thought the East stand prices weren't bad. You can't get most Premier League tickets for these prices. Next week is the Cheltenham Festival (4 days). A comparable ticket to the South stand is £90 per day and over £100 on the Friday. Their hotel prices are way over £300 per night. They get an average of about 50,000 a day. Yes, it's different! We all love speedway and to see the best in the world take each other on at the NSS is worth it to me for 2 nights. It's expensive, but in line. Wroclaw is brilliant also, signs are all around the town and it's great, but it's great cos they have a great track also. Lots love Prague (not been to the SGP) and I like the city, but the track is in general average (not always). I go for good racing and need to go to Torun which if prepped right is also excellent. I suppose we can all put a value on any trip, but one things for sure like everything in the UK. Prices will only go up. Most of us have a bit of disposable income and we all have decisions to make on how we spend it. 👍

I think they miss a great opportunity to use the Manchester city centre as a "GP Hub"... Meet the riders etc.. Well over a hundred thousand people will be going through there on the Friday and Saturday... What an opportunity to not only advertise a "Flagship" event, to create some "Big Event" feel for Speedway, but also, off the back of it, advertise the Aces and UK Speedway in general... And all to an audience who, in the main, won't have a clue who you are, or what you do... A "gift horse" if ever there was one for the Aces.. As for the pricing? I will be watching world class action, with most riders there not riding over here... I woukd rather pay over £60 for that, than around £30 for some contrived, Mickey Mouse, domestic offerings.. Hmm have you been through the city centre recently? Rough as toast, constant protest marches at the weekend. Not to mention the crime around picadilly would certainly put people off. Meet and greet in the longsight club on kirky lane 😅

They should have the window display in Piccadilly again with the bike and race suit etc. The extensive use of billboards looked good on previous occasions and should be continued. I’m sure they’ll have the local TV again doing spots on all there broadcasts to the millions of locals. An Aces hub in the city would be good but its manning it that is the problem with all hands to the pump at the stadium to sort the actual event. Even a large Cardiff type crowd of 25-35 thousand fans wouldn’t make a dent in Manchester and the cost of taking over somewhere like Freight Island wouldn’t work financially. The only way any kind of speedway atmosphere could happen in the city centre is if a social media meet up was organised but even then it would be just another group in Manchester. Maybe they could utilise the empty space between the diamond lodge and the old bingo hall to create a large food, drink, social area for before & after the event. The fan zone can remain on the pitch behind the temporary stand as that seemed to work well.
