As long as they get the bikes in front of a crowd at both Franklin's Gardens and Sixfields, and have something in the Market Square a couple of Saturdays before, they should be alright.

... or even better... a couple of Thursday nights before šŸ˜‰

I know what you’re saying, but my point is, it’s out in the sticks, between villages, it even in one. Certainly not Northampton, or in Northampton. For a ā€œnew ventureā€, that seems a bit of a drawback to recruiting fans, unless there’s plenty of transport laid on.

I’ve heard they’re laying on a tandem. šŸ˜‰šŸ˜Š

Co-inciding with Speedway Star's unmissable Season Preview issue, which will offer details of ALL the tracks and teams......

Worry-ye-not, folks.Ā  It's happening!

Let's be honest...

The track record of those involved isn't "great" when it comes to promotion of the sport they run...

However, given it seems to be a "collective thing", then, maybe, they will go " all in" and promote the s**t out of Northampton...

Let's hope so...

Todays Star says "we understand that there is a wish that all relevant club information will be announced at the same time"

Ā

Read this and they dont need to announce any official club information, Just teasers on social media would be a simple way of building engagement. Putting up fixtures , different kevlars, team names etc Announcing at the same time could still be done but a feeder campaign to generate interest, tags and trending. Even a two week warning and countdown. Seems like a wasted opportunity to generate interest.Ā  Ā

Edinburgh run 25 miles from the city while in the recent past neither Eastbourne nor Somerset were anywhere near civilisation!

Somerset was about 4-5 miles away from Burnham on sea. Your going even more loopy in your old age.Ā

Pretty much what most expected just a shame it was so late in the day they might have ended up with three riders who sometimes are only interested 50% of the time.

The sport is really missing a trick in not getting involved in ā€œvloggerā€ culture. Imagine having dedicated vlogs to drum up interest and offer a behind the scenes look at what it takes to prepare for a season. Insight into a rider’s daily life etc.Ā

It would enhance the interest incredibly.

Is it located somewhere near the notorious Jesus Army HQ? Maybe that's the way to start recruiting new fans, they've got minibuses i think. And theyd stay dedicated no matter how many times the team loses.

The "consortium" must be aiming to get it running and then selling on as a viable business, having put in the cash, spadework and legal grunt. They must have potential buyers lined up who have financial clout but its a big risk and i hope it pays off
