Even if I can get over riders getting more points in the final both Holder & Woryna came 2nd in the Elsie Kew's, one gets 12 points the other gets 11... could Woryna really have engineered his finishing position to make sure he finished in Elsie Kew 1 to secure more points than appearing in Elsie Kew 2 🤷♂️ If he'd scored that extra point he'd be sharing the Golden (ish) race jacket. And we all know the Championship was only settled by a single point last season. It's all just too random for me! Bonkers to me

I think it's fair that Holder gets more in what's essentially a tie? Woryna couldn't have engineered anything. I've added to that post above... but that's my point, he couldn't have engineered it... could he? Or could he? Should he have to? How would he know, it's just down to luck... and if it goes down to a point again, is that anyway to settle a World Championship? Be interesting to know what happened last year with Kurtz and Zmarzlik 🤔 Edited 2 hours ago by IainB

Those who cannot handle the "deep stuff" can ride the slick inside and those who are more brave, can take those risks and ride the faster dirt line up against the fence ... How Speedway should be... Cast your mind back... Despite what many of the old fogies claim, the racing WASN'T so much better years ago; they were just as spread out as they can be now. What WAS better was the heart-stopping action when they would hit a patch (or mound!) of grip! That's what made it exciting. The bikes were far better suited to the conditions then, than they are now, and were far less likely to throw a rider into the fence. ShanoXtra
Cracking racing tonight, bends 3 and 4 were the fence and 1 and 2 were inside. Anders with pass of the night closely followed by Holder. Such a great spectacle and glad I was there. Madsen promising the Falubaz president he would be on the podium now he changed tuner and he was. Be interesting to know what happened last year with Kurtz and Zmarzlik 🤔 I'm not sure he could, the aim is just to score as many points as possible in the heats to give yourself the best chance. It's not as if there is any advantage to choosing to finish 2nd (as opposed to winning) in the LCQ either, if he had scored the most points, as he'd miss out on the final. Mind, don't take any of this as gospel, my days of keeping track of speedway rules are mostly in the past!

I'll grant you, you do need a degree in rocket science to understand this 5h1t... but really it's better to be appearing in LCQ1 than it is LCQ2 no matter what you've scored in the hearts because you just get a chance to score an extra point more for finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th than you would finishing in the same race position in LCQ2. ShanoXtra
Funny reading the comments after the meeting. The track was watered every single time after 4 heats. And the tractors came out every single time too. There wasn’t one break where nothing was done. Phil prepped the track the same as the qualifying and remember seeing how much grip was on the outside and thinking if this is the same tonight we are on for a good meeting.
Tactical Joker
Well Prague is the place to be this weekend. Superb weather, beer and racing. Great view at the start of the first bend, even got hit by shale three times. Just need a shower now to wash the dust off, but thoroughly enjoyed that meeting. Well done Leon.

Morris was overseeing it, saw him earlier on, along with Tony Olsson. Credit to him as well as he went and thanked everyone on the centre green personally, marshalls, 1st aiders etc.
SPEEDY69
It was a great GP, good close racing, easy travelling, easy entry and great view. Only downside were the beer queues and they're was no merchandise on sale apart from Czech Speedway and Dudek had a stall.

You don't get a chance to score an extra point, you get the extra point if you've scored higher than the same finisher in the other LCQ scored in the heats. LCQ1 - 3rd, 6th, 8th, 9th LCQ2 - 4th, 5th, 7th, 10th. I see the argument that if you've finished 3rd on points, and are in LCQ 1, then you'll get more points for finishing 2nd than whoever finishes 2nd in LCQ 2 does. That's just the advantage of scoring the 3rd highest points score though. If the 5th placed rider from LCQ2 finished in the same position as the 6th placed rider did in LCQ 1, they'd get more points because of their score in the heats. Finish 4th in the heats and you're in LCQ2 finish 9th and you're in LCQ1... finish 2nd in either and 4th highest race points scorer gets 11 points and 9th highest gets 12 🤷♂️ But then you could finish 10th in the heats and win the bloody thing... I'm sorry it's just wrong in my book. I think I'd just prefer it if the same points were awarded for finishing 2nd, 3rd & 4th in the LCQ's. Ideally they'd be racing each other for the points but that doesn't seem to be the way these days. Good GP tonight though for what it was 👍🏻 Edited 1 hour ago by IainB

It's not difficult to understand at all... but it's not better to finish 4th than 6th, 8th or 9th in the qualifiers as this puts you in LCQ2 with less points on offer. Your destiny is in your own hands finishing 1st to 4th in the overall meeting, whereas 5th to 10th seems to be a bit of a lottery.
