I suspect if Cooper & Cairns weren't in it people probably wouldn't turn out in enough numbers unfortunately.
Neila
This is Poole's token gesture to youth development, as said above if some pilots riders were not in the event the home fans will not turn out, be interesting to see what level the crowd is 🤔
SteveLyric2
The problem last year was getting enough NDL riders to commit to a midweek fixture, hence Paul Starke stepping in at the last minute. Does any other Prem/Champ club run NDL fixtures midweek?

Does any other Prem/Champ club run NDL fixtures midweek? Why not use the Internet to search for the answer. You're using it to ask the question It could also be held during the school holidays so the younger NDL riders have more chance of attending, plus why not run some 250 races too ? SteveLyric2
3 hours ago, Bagpuss said: They do, although not really sure what that has to do with young riders being available during the week? If you rent a stadium, as Poole do, then the costs of putting on any event on any day of the week are the same as for a Pirates meeting on a Wednesday. Poole don't get any income from the stadium. No parking fees, no food and Beverage revenue. Their only revenue comes from admissions, programme ads and sales, sponsorship and banner ads, so they have to be reasonably confident of the meeting being popular enough to get a decent crowd even with a reduced entry fee because its NDL-level. The Pairs on a Saturday in August can be planned well in advance to ensure most of the stadium staff (stewards, bar staff etc)are available and not committed to working at/attending AFC Bournemouth as several do,
