Tai's got nothing left to prove, Whether you love him or hate him personality wise, He's a multiple World Champion and one of the Best British Riders of all time and nobody can ever take that away from him.

Common sense has to prevail instead of chasing something that isn't a reality anymore, The reality is that Tai can't get through a full season anymore and it's just broken bones after broken bones and surgery after surgery with no end in sight.

I think there is a lot in what you say but s/way riders are different from us mere mortals ,Tai has to come to the decision himself personally I think he will never return to level he was prior to these recent crashes .
