Lynn v Leicester 1/6/26

It really is time for the authorities to charge Dale Allitt and Buster Chapman for bringing the sport into disrepute. Everyone knows they are looking at getting rid of Paco Castagna so are deliberately postponing meetings.

How does everyone know that?…

It’s going to be an interesting couple of years. It’s forward thinking people like Mayfield at Ipswich vs it’s our plaything like those at Lynn.

The sport needs Mayfield to win out however I think we all know how this ends. The current promotions who have been around years win out & drive the Mayfields out leaving the sport to die out.

60% chance of rain from 15:00 increasing to 90% from 20:00 and then right through until 07:00 according to the Met Office app. As with all forecasts you pays your money, takes your choice. However, we could could wake up in the morning and its all changed. It's what actually happens tomorrow that matters at the end of the day.

The weather Channel app is showing LESS THAN HALF A MM before 9pm

Shambolic and shameful

Just do what I do and pretend there is no Speedway at King's Lynn... it works for me 👍🏻

They fell off my list of tracks to attend years ago. Been in the car park too many times as the meeting has been called off.

Boycotted years ago. You won’t get me back in that stadium

This call off does more plausible than the previous one.

Problem is, we've had our fingers burnt too many times with wet tracks and Buster attempting to get raceable when we've been in the stadium...the riders, understandably (with today's bikes) just aren't interested.... similar to recent foxhall call off....

Manchester is always cited as the rainiest of cities time and time again so Belle Vue should be the benchmark when setting an acceptable amount of rain offs per season. The five seasons between 21-25, we had to cancel eight league meetings whereas the stars cancelled 18. I think a fair figure would be two per season and anything above this sanctions or investigations need to be in place to get to the root cause of these persistent call offs. EVERYTHING needs to be done to ensure these meetings go ahead on an acceptable surface.

The problem Kings Lynn have is how often these questionable call offs happen some may be justified (maybe tonight’s meeting ) but some clearly wasn’t in any other sport there would be an investigation into why there is so many meetings cancelled - and if found guilty a fine or points deduction or both but this is British speedway so nothing will happen but does nothing for the credibility of the sport

Seems to me that some on here will find something to moan about no matter what happens.

Met Office is currently showing 60-90% chance of rain right through from 11am so it looks like a good call.

They could always have left it and then called it off when everyone was in the stadium, although at least the away fans wouldn't have travelled 5 hours like the Belle Vue fans at Ipswich a couple of weeks ago.

The riders, with today's bikes, seemed perfectly fine with things at Glasgow on Saturday night, racing on a wet track, often in driving rain... the difference, they were chasing personal World Championship glory in an FIM meeting as opposed to riding in a humdrum league meeting in front of one man and his dog 🐕‍🦺🧍‍♀️
