True it is only the start of August BUT is is also nearing the end of the season for some tracks so some information going forward would be nice.

But no need to worry we can wait for February 2027 for any announcement maybe something like "this year it going to be a 3 maybe 4 team league but we will play each team 3 times home and away  and for extra fixtures we have also added extra cup meetings again against the same teams" (sorry if you end up playing the same team at home 3 weeks running)

Also for this season we are running 5 man teams with 2 rising stars at 6 and 7 

For all this entertainment we are only increasing the admission by £2 but if your over 80 with both parents with you yourself can have free admission on the night.

Obviously I am just surmising this will be 2027 as I have no idea what the plans are and it is a joke post as they could never announce something like this ............ or could they ?????

Once home and away to minimise seeing same teams every other week and it would also help stem losses by having fewer but hopefully better quality meetings,

Would need a tv deal and ideally a proper league sponsor to get another 4-6 real top line riders back over here and finding a way to help Sheffield survive.

They’d still have to do twice home and away IMO otherwise we’d have even less meetings than we do now. We currently have 10 home league meetings, a league of 8 teams once home and away would give you just 7 home league meetings. What else would you fill the season with to have the “home meetings at the minimum every other week” that you mention?

Eight team league, twice home and away giving you 14 home league fixtures plus the KOC fixtures would help plug some of the annoying gaps in fixtures that we currently have. 
 

KOC could continue the same format as this year. Two groups of four instead of three in a north/south split, giving a guaranteed three home cup fixtures in the group stage, group winners meet in final. 
 

17 guaranteed home fixtures in total. Sounds much better to me.

I remember the Stox at the old place, they ran around 10 meetings a year, and got 3500 to 4500, depending on the meeting level...

The Aces ran around 3 meetings a month and got the same number as the Stox did with one..

But the Stox atmosphere and "experience" felt more like an "event"..

Maybe less, but better promoted Speedway meetings, with tangible decent prizes, is the answer? Something to look forward to?...

The reality is, if team Speedway ended tomorrow, by next Sunday, hardly anyone will care, and those 80 million or so who don't attend, with the vast majority of them not even knowing of its existence, won't even notice it has gone..

for years British Speedway  has been used as a training scheme for Australians on the way to Poland .come here as raw as an uncooked cabbage .attain  a decent standard .then it's either off to Poland and F.U. or its Poland first and Ill dictate when and where I appear  ... see you in a few years when I'm washed up and Poland don't want me. Ill be back to squeeze the last few quid i can get out of British speedway
