Lawson is becoming as unreliable as Craig Cook

Whats going on with Lawson and Ipswich this year, granted he's always had a rep for being moody but has generally been reliable for clubs he represented down the years.

I don't know if the muddy bikes and leathers have been an issue every year or just this year also, as I've mentioned before he seems to me for a rider with no gp ambitions the perfect template for what a UK rider should be so seems odd that he should want to rock the apple cart at what has historically been a well run club.

I don’t care if we finish bottom just get Lawson out of our club …. Possibly the worst team player I’ve ever known and Foxhall in the 40 years I’ve been going …. There is a reason Louis didnt resign him the first time

Good match good racing to be fair and to win with only 5 riders was good …. Think Ellis might be back next year lol

Maybe you should read his explanation on Facebook before jumping to conclusions

He has his priorities spot on anyone else would do exactly the same. Speedway is not the best all and end all particularly if you have family.

He is full of crap. I don’t believe half of what he says. If his wife and child is the reason he didn’t come let me know why he decided to wait until 17:50 to let the club know. And also, just to put it out there so everyone is fully aware, the riders and management of Ipswich were visually angry after taking his phone call to say he wasn’t turning up. He needs to be sacked, instantly.

Once again Nicolai Klindt has lost his team the meeting. Regardless how he ended the meeting, 0,0,0 in your first three rides has dropped points.

Again, I’m left wondering how on earth he kept his place in the team?

On the other hand, a brilliant performance from Ellis and big love to Scotty who I hope it ok; though worry this will spell his retirement.

You read his post?
We all put family first but he has all day to sort this and decided to tell the club at nearly 6pm which is shocking

He has let Ipswich down already and he is the worst team man I’ve ever seen

He needs to be sacked

Do you over react to everything?

I enjoyed this meeting the R/R for Lawson made a win much less certain pre meeting - Witches started really well but Northampton made back ground in the 2nd half - mainly due to Scotts injury and the fact that Ellis was so damn good tonight.

Track seemed better and the was some decent races - the best race actually had no passing but was when Tobi tried everything he could (and got near too on more than one occasion) to pass Adam in heat 11. Nice to see Tom much more with it he had a couple of decent rides and was mixing it much more.

I hope Scott is ok he has been riding well of late.

Sorry are you a Poole fan by any chance

Might be fine for your club but at Ipswich we don’t take kindly to riders who aren’t team men and take the p…. Just saying

Everyone knows full well that what you see is what you get with Richard. You know that he's a moody bloke and you know he'll turn up with dirty bikes sometimes.

Richard will score you points on a consistent basis but he will also bring a lot of baggage with him in the process hence why he's not everyone's cup of tea.

As far as I'm concerned the entire blame lies with Mayfield and Paul Hurry who've allowed these situations with Richard to keep happening whilst doing nothing about it when they've had opportunites in the palm of their hands.

1st Opportunity -> Jason Doyle in a Triple Team Change (Was an always an easy three riders to release)

2nd Opportunity -> Adam Ellis in a straight swap (No brainer as proven by Adam's score tonight)

Two title winning Witches, Two Golden opportunites, Two pieces of failure to act when the vast majority of the fan base have made their feelings crystal clear.

1. Anyone know who the 3 changes would be?

2. Far too easy to say replace Lawson with Ellis AFTER he's bagged 20 points from 21, bit like saying i would have chosen those winning euro million numbers, after you'd seen the draw

Regardless (i don't disagree) but Lawson won't be at Ipswich in 2027 not so sure about the next match!
