tyler42
One point from William Cairns' rides. I think if he had ridden, it might have swung the result in Poole's favour, but then again, you could say that, with Kennett at reserve, it kinda evened things up. He was and deserved more Poor meeting though I felt and didn't look a huge crowd ?

They took advantage of Poole’s misfortunes. Ref helping by giving Cluff bout 4 minutes at the tapes when his bike fell apart. Lightcap having an ef while on a 5-1, then Eddie doing the same on a 3-3 cost us the points in the end. Swings and roundabouts if you wouldn’t have had the engine failure you wouldn’t of been able to use a TS resulting in a 5-1. Also the 2 minute light was still on when Cluff got to the tapes. SteveArena
Good meeting for Lawson. No comment from Gavan when he has a good meeting although his nurses may not have given him his daily dose of happy pills. There have been cutbacks in nursing so he is probably pacing around his padded cell mumbling Shovlar Shovlar!

Went on for an age and the BSN commentators said he was in overtime. Still you make your own luck and Edinburgh had it with Cluff and Poole didn’t have any with two important EF’s. Cooper Rushen in his interview on BSN that Edinburgh had their setups dialled to perfection out of the starts and Pirates were playing catchup. Got good people around him with the likes of Hancock in Poland then can call his monster friends in Bewley over here which helps big time also especially when it comes to set ups etc.

You definitely are a strange one slightly infatuated….. but because you are seemingly not blessed with much of a brain cell I will for your benefit tell you what I have said many times about Lawson He scores well for Poole Seems to be a team player for Poole He scores well for Ipswich He is not a team player for Ipswich Now if you read the above you may see the issue me and many Ipswich fans have about him I await your next instalment mentioning me in every post 1

Slater is definitely a good signing, hope he is at Poole next season. Cooper rode brilliantly tonight but very poor at Edinburgh.

Hats off for heat 6 but he didn't really have to work overly hard for it. He also almost fenced Lewis Kerr more than once in heat 12. With team mates like that, who needs opponents? Anyway, very pleased with the victory. I didn't expect to win, which makes it all the better. A solid effort throughout the team. Good to see DanT top scoring (despite what the Monarchs website may say) and a big thank you to Darryl Ritchings for turning up with a bike which, unlike the Poole reserves, lasted 4 laps in each race. Excellent professionalism. You can come back any time 👍 A black mark to the Pirates management for their seemingly poor information provided to the programme printers. I had to buy a new pen and was 'writing' William Cairns r/r, Slater Lightcap and Edward Kennett in my sleep afterwards. The latter was very good value for money, which dampened the disappointment of Kyle Newman's unfortunate absence. I was also impressed with Zach Cook. Very fast and very stylish. He's never seemed overly happy on previous visits to sunny Armadale. That's definitely changed this year though. Two top notch performances. Re the Mitchell Cluff 2 minutes incident. Joe (the big screen) always shows the countdown clock before every race. For whatever reason, it wasn't showing prior to the rerun of heat 8. The yellow light came on at some point but no clock. It was also conspicuous by its absence in at least one race later on in the meeting. Can't remember which one(s) though. Finally, well done to Michele Castagna for actually racing for the full 4 laps of heat 14. However, the technical gurus will have to explain his post-match quote to me. Something along the lines of, "my engine almost went on me". Pardon my ignorance but how does that happen? Is it not a case of the engine going (blowing up) or not going (working perfectly)? He didn't appear to lose speed. There was no audible spluttering. So, in what way did the engine "almost" go? Roll on Friday...

Nickinho
Congrats to Dan T on finishing 5th in the British final. Well deserved as he always seemed to be in the top 2 in every race bar the semi-final.
