Putting his money where his mouth is... Makes perfect sense, given he runs Speedway at Ipswich and runs the GP series... Hopefully he gets the track to deliver several racing lines as the GP lads don't make too many mistakes when in front.... But plenty of tracks on the GP circuit deliver poor racing and people still watch.. I presume the NSS and June 12 are entwined currently, however one night, with no extra seating, could be a tough profit maker, and admission charges for 4,500 or so would have to be on the very high side... Plus many hotels in and around Manchester are already showing fully booked with Oasis being in town.. Maybe the NSS could negotiate a much reduced fee to run it?.. It could be possible if no one else wants to run one I would suggest... Does Glasgow hold over 4,000? If so, maybe they may want to join the GP circus?... At least if the GP doesn't get ran at the NSS then the Aces attendances should not be impacted like they have the last two years for those meetings leading up to it, and just after... You simply HAVE to include Brennan in a 2027 team on 5.91. We know he’s better than that and you can’t persevere all year with him struggling, only to allow another team to benefit on an artificially low average. I wouldn’t have Lawson back and I don’t think many would after this years shenanigans, BUT, he’s another that’s seen his average drop by riding a position higher in our team than he should have been. He’ll actually make a decent signing for someone on that average. The two standout this year have easily been King and Musielak. But, King has ran out of steam towards the end of this year in both leagues and his form has dipped, and he’s now on an average where if we do have real aspirations and ambitions, it’s time to cut ties I’m afraid and go in a different direction. He’s easily my Witches rider of the year though. Tobi, I’m now a little uncomfortable on his average also. 6.63 up to 8.08. He’s seems to fluctuate between a 6+ average and an 8+ average and the time to pick him up, is after one of his poor years like we did this year. You’re not fitting in Tobi on that average, with two heatleaders above him so if he’s retained, he’ll be the number 1 or 5. I know the immediate reaction of some will be you can’t leave him out he’s been brilliant, and he has, but you have to build smart and make difficult decisions if you want to win things and be successful. If we now have the contacts and wherewithal to get the “big names” Coleman mentioned Saturday, then my opinion is we can do better than Musielak at 1 or 5 as harsh as that sounds. We need more than one GP in the UK - sadly none of the current 'stadia' really can come up to the capacity of Ipswich which can at hold 10k, NSS nice though it is and I am a big fan of the track and set up needs top be bigger for these events in my opinion. I think this a point that those huffing and puffing and having a major meltdown that the GP is at “that sh!thole” need to understand. There’s currently issues around holding the GP at the NSS this year and it has to be held somewhere. Foxhall is one of the few with the infrastructure (with more redevelopment coming) to actually hold it. I'd need to see a replacement like a British GP Rider, Emil Sayfutdinov, Jason Doyle or another established Heat Leader on these shores to consider dropping Musielak tbh. I'm not keen on taking a punt on someone like Dudek for example as a Tobi replacement in case he flops on these shores. Much like the Hellstrom-Bangs situation, Punt that backfired and left us as sitting ducks at reserve all season.
