The latter two returning next season is massive for Berwick. If they recruit wisely, they could make a serious title challenge next season. Gutted for the travelling Plymouth fans. Several Gladiators should be embarrassed by their performance. Took this screenshot last night. What a crowd. I’ve been to Shielfield Park many times, but never have I saw the first bend this packed. As is often said... The size of the crowd makes the atmosphere.... Which then ensures memories of the event are good ones... A very ordinary event can live long in the memory when you were part of something with great audience numbers and participation .. Baffling why so many promoters don't seem to understand that and make kids their target market, and let them in for free... Hopefully there will be a knock on early next season and crowds will see more yearly growth... Pinny Posted 12 hours ago Report Share Posted 12 hours ago I think the fact Berwick have a 100 percent record at home proves fans will turn up to watch a winning side at home. Throw in a cup final after knocking out the league champions elect as well and its no wonder the crowd was big. Fans dont care about the racing on the whole , they want to see their team win. Exeter were proof of this, great spectacle of a track with you being so close to the action but mainly gate and go, heavy home wins every week and they had good crowds right up until they shut despite usually being rubbish away from home.
