At this point just take it up with Putin personally?I'm sure he'll rethink his actions if he knows they can't participate at the highest level in a sport he's never heard of! It ain't happening, there's more chance of me bedding Dua Lipa then the Russians getting a call up while a war is on, move on.

World championships should include the best competitors. And he’s one of them no question
szkocjasid Posted yesterday at 08:50 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:50 AM I'm not a fan of how they pick wild cards or reserves (free for all) so would rather the picks be based on: Average GP score (if injured) Next in line from GPs / qualifiers / SEC Top scorer in SWC / SON Highest average in Polish Extraliga SGP2 Champ (reserve spot not wild card) So I won't complain about Janowski as he was next in line in SEC (not fair for Aussies / Yanks though). While he's hardly an inspired choice, and isn't the most exciting, he's no worse than Thomsen/Kvech/Michelsen, etc, etc. It's quite surprising how big the drop off is from Lindgren/Holder/Bewley to the 4th pick, usually there's some youngster or someone having an exceptional season that gets mentioned, but there's nothing out there. At 24 Kvech is still a youngster in GP terms which would make him my preferred choice.

I also wouldn't be against him, I think he's better than people give him credit for. It'd not be a surprise if he's first reserve (or thereabouts). I think Kvech has done well enough to be picked on the reserve list. Expect him to be near the top with no Czechs in the GPs
The Cheese Posted yesterday at 11:16 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 11:16 AM The relief at seeing Janowski just miss out qualifying through the SEC didn't last long then.

Can't say I'm thrilled at all on this pick.....definitely "washed up" now for lack of a better definition. All I can assume is Poland dug their spurs in someone and made it a Pole.
LagutaRacingFan
Imagine if somebody said to you in 2010 that Emil Sayfutdinov and Darcy Ward will never win a World Championship. You would have bet your life on that not happening. We lost Darcy due to a tragic accident. And Emil missed a few years as he was part of the SEC and he was being paid a lot of money, and now he is a victim of politics. In another world, Emil and Ward would have multiple world titles.
Col
I fail to see how Janowski justifies a wildcard, he was appalling in the Ekstraliga playoffs. Second in SEC so qualifies because SEC Champion Madsen was top 7 in GPs. Meh. For captain post allot twit you only have Laguta & Sayfutdinov to blame for their lack of SGP inclusion since they ride on PZM licenses - their choice. PZM don't enter them in competitions. They could ride on Latvian licenses but then they'd be classified as foreign seniors for Ekstraliga team building. I'm not sure Sayfutdinov has overtaken Adams as the best rider to never been World Champion in my life time. Darcy Ward versus Zmarzlik could have been amazing. Hancock & Doyle probably wouldn't agree. Edited 15 hours ago by Col
r8gdp
I would have gone with Bewley Holder Lindgren and Thomson (having won a Round) Dose make you wonder who is on the panel that make the selection s Don t dislike Janowski but think his better days are behind him would have probably put him in the reserves list
racers and royals
Jack Holder announced as the 2nd pick
