Is that a new/recent rule change, where a rider injured during the meeting (Kerr) can be replaced by someone other than a reserve (Cairns)?

Did that actually happen I’m following the updates an presumed that was a mistake?

Someone please answer me How does a rider get 10 at home but away is half a lap behind, I know Ingram is young and in his first season at Championship level but it's the 3rd time he'll have rode at Poole this season and he's not even in the same postcode

Yeah, Cairns (number two) replaced Kerr (number three). Never saw that before, but presume it’s now a rule, given it was allowed.

Harrison well off the pace tonight.

It's IRR came in about 4 years any rider under Kerr's average can take a ride so Cairns, Rushen and the Reserves

It’s bizarre.

He rounded Leon Flint - who had just returned from Team GB World Cup duties in Poland - at Scunthorpe, but tonight, he looks it’s his first time on a speedway bike.

He won’t score a single point tonight.

Another heat, another FTG. The racing is taking away from the occasion.

IRR  isnt it like a  regular rr? 1 above and rest below?

I’m probably wrong but I thought that had to be declared before the meeting and only reserves could take the rides during?

This is genuinely the worst track I have ever seen in speedway bar none.

diabolical.

The play-off final too.

Seven heats and not a single pass - or even an attempted pass - beyond the first lap.

If the powers that be are serious about improving British speedway, then track preparation independent of the home side might be a solution.

The sad thing is good, hardworking track staff who do all they can to provide the fans with a racing track - like Glasgow, Red at and Scunthorpe - would be the cost.

This is awful to watch but Poole fans won’t care

Handed to them with ablitt crashing out

How?😂

If Pickering, Palm Toft or Jenkins crashed out, I’d understand, but who are we kidding here? Ablitt wouldn’t have beaten an opponent tonight. He is zero loss.

I’m not overly fond of Poole either, but let’s not be silly.

Nope IRR comes into force during a meeting once a rider has to withdraw, I believe each ride taken by the injured party removes the ride that the highest averaged rider eligible at that point can take.

Opinions different to yours are allowed!

Losing a reserve is often more costly because they can only be replaced by the other reserve, leading to at least one three man race. Plus Ablitt used to ride for Poole so may well have scored more than your expert view might suggest. We’ll never know of course, but Poole will win this comfortably - they might well have done anyway, but to suggest losing a rider makes absolutely no difference is nonsense.

They lost a rider who wouldn’t have beaten an opponent all evening.

Losing Ablitt will have had zero impact on proceedings, other than Ingram - who will also fail to beat an opponent tonight - being a tired boy tonight.
