I think the forthcoming promoters' meetings should address why all tracks haven't got radio communication between the ref's box and the start marshalls (unless thats already a rule), That could/should deal with all starting issues on the spot!

Or is it because that isn't in place at the BSPL Chairman's track?

Wouldn't of picked up on Cairns tyre warming. If the ref sees something just put red light on.

I agree technology should be used wherever possible to increase the chance of fair play and reduce the chance of rule breaking wherever possible. How long have Poole's start marshalls been using headsets.?

While I am not suggesting it should, or would, be re-run.......

At some point in the '80s there was a match at Ellesmere Port when Berwick were visiting, which was declared null and void after the event (something to do with tyres, ironically) and had to be re-run late in the season.

I can't be bothered looking up chapter and verse, but the precedent is there.......

The meeting wasn't rerun. 12th April 1985 National League fixture, Joe Owen and Dave Morton were found to have used illegal tyres. Berwick's protest was upheld, both riders had their points deducted, following riders were promoted and the final score was amended from 50-28 to 34-41.

Edited to add the appeal wasn't sorted out until mid-October!

You say that but it hasnt worked in football, still many bad decisions made.

It hasn't worked in some areas of football where a human studies the evidence provided by technology and still make the wrong decision but goal  line technology has worked

Can't say I really care either way which team wins, and from the footage there was, I was unconvinced anyone had shown beyond any reasonable doubt Zach had fully crossed the line, but to accept he had and then say "never mind, the result's wrong but we won't change it", especially when it's the final, is abysmal.

British speedway is such an embarrassingly amateur sport.

So it’s now fact that he crossed the line so the Poole clowns who said he didn’t can shut the hell up

Disastrous for British speedway total incompetence in both legs

This league title will have an asterisk next to it

You dont have to have 2 wheels fully over, you are confusing speedway with footbal and tennis, The limits of the track or the INSIDE next to the track. footballs is the back edge

To all the Poole fans who said he didn’t cross the line…🤫

Scunthorpe are the real 2026 champions. 🦂

When you look back at the record books in years to come they won't be
