Was just about to post this! Did Jody Scott give away a big hint after the Chargers meeting last night? He said "see you next year" and I very much doubt he's going to be doing the NDL again in 2027. He's far too good for it now.

Did he? I missed that! I can't see Scott doing the NDL next year either.

Don't think Jody is allowed to ride NDL even if he wanted to, his Championship average being over 4, if that's still the rule. I'd love to see him next season in any league

Very good point. I forgot about that rule.

Was Simon Lambert's average not over 4 when he signed for King's Lynn Young Stars? (I can't remember, which is why I'm asking).

Small part of an interview with Jamie Courtney on BBC Radio Oxford lunchtime news today. He confirms its Championship for Oxford in 2027. Full interview will be on the Heat 16 podcast at 6pm tonight. You can listen again afterwards on BBC Sounds.

Rule may not exist anymore, Kennett 'signing' as well, he was a 5 average.

Is it not to do with whether or not they have a Championship place at the time?

Either way Jody Scott is surely too good for the NDL now. He seems to be improving every year and I hope that continues (regardless of where he is riding)

I hear Jody Scott is trying to win a spot in Poland & has gone over to do some practice. I think he is time served in NDL but will need to carry on in the Championship for now but weather Oxford can get him away from Redcar is another issue.

Of the riders that were at Cowley in 2026 I think Sam Masters & Luke Killeen will return. Mitch McDiramid I believe will drop the Championship for the Premiership & Poland Erik Riss is to much of a risk for any BL club Anders Rowe will move on Dale Wood & Daryl Ritchings will not feature in the team either. But I could be completly wrong

No idea why the forum clown has laughed at all that but I believe Jody had a 'trial' in Torun at the weekend presumably with a view to riding in their U24 side in 2027.

Jody is practicing in torun on Tuesday and Wednesday with Luke Harrison and Ryan Ingram and some local junior riders.
