1. S. Masters 8.99

2. S. Hagon 3.71

3. S. Nicholls 7.95

4. L. Killeen 6.03

5. T. Brennan 8.07

6. D. Ritchings 3.17

7. S. Summers 2.00

= 39.92

Questionable bottom 3 and having Hagon at a track where you have to turn the bike is a big no no,but that’s a title winning top4 without a doubt.

The one over 8 rule was a good idea to make the league more balanced, but with there being more riders on 8+ than teams. The rule should be lifted. Let the teams build their sides how they want, not to mention we don’t want riders without jobs because they didn’t manipulate their average

They could simply change the 8 point cut-off higher or lower, based on who wants to ride in the Champ in 2027, top 9 riders split amongst the 9 clubs? If a club opts out & wants to go strength in depth, top 8 riders split amount the other 8 teams?

I thought the rumours were that the limit was being reduced.

I think the (strong) rumours of a reduced limit were linked to having a different number of teams in Championship! The 40 point limit was initially set and agreed for 3 seasons, based on 9 teams.

I’ve heard that one before🤔

If they can pack the team with riders like Kennett and other riders on a 4/5 ave capable of scoring far more than that then they’re gonna be the team to built. Already an exciting looking team and can’t wait to see how they finish it. Great to have Tom back in the championship, it’s a great move for him and Oxford

As long as the rule change around 8 point riders is confirmed then potentially a solid team can be built.

Masters

Brennan

Rowe (although rumoured to be Glasgow bound)

Killeen

Dan Gilkes ?

Sam Hagon ?

2 pointer Vale or Fletcher

If no Rowe then maybe Mitch could be talked into staying and increase the bottlom end strength. Maybe Eddie K if he fits but I think that might be slightly over. So maybe Dayle Wood again.

Jonas Knudsen has indicated he is open to UK next season so could be an option if Oxford can run Fridays more often so Denmark meeting clash less.

regardless it is a very good start to team building.

Oxford has already announced that the 1-7 will all be UK based. So that rules out Knudsen, or any other import.

Like I posted earlier in this thread, Oxford are going for a top heavy line up with 3 x 8+ pointers (third heat leader deal done just waiting for the announcement from the club). Kileen expected be number at 4 so still will have experienced number 3 with him, team will have a long tail though but at least the top 3 should be able to not just score plenty but able to share experience with the lower end of the team
