If he’s overcome them then there’s a pretty good rider in there. Yeah, any Management offering Riss a contract next season need their heads looking at

I just hope that one of them would be Edinburgh and he’d fancy coming back.

I'd reckon Erik Riss and Craig Cook are the two best riders available for next season who won't be touched by any sensible promotion.....

Cook’s average combined with his risk means he definitely won’t be touched. I think given Riss is more attractive given he’s < 8.
szkocjasid
If Riss can go the whole winter without any medical issues, he definitely seems a better rider than his average. I don't think it's a big a risk as some make out, it's not like you'd have to replace him with a 3.00 NL rider should he have an episode (providing he starts the season). Cook would be a greater risk, you can almost guarantee he won't last the season, as sad as that is to say. If they announce riders one at a time (how i like it) we can do the maths & see who fits etc.
InTheDeepStuff
Surely just about every promotion/team has been burnt by Cook and his antics over the years that he has to be a last resort option for any team building. No doubting his ability but the baggage he unfortunately brings with him means the risk is a lot higher than the reward
