Mgas
Would like to see Flint in for PK but I’m not even sure that’s possible with him doing Poland. Whispers are kemp could be back. If that’s happening he needs to be read the riot act and stop giving up when at the back. It would be good to keep JJ but I suspect with a new born he may prefer to be closer to home. On his current form VP is on a good average but needs to keep performing consistently. Having a very strong reserve has worked very well for us this year, if we can’t keep JJ maybe bring in Rasmus Pedersen in as a big hitting reserve. I fully expect Reggie back as skipper and righty so. I’m unsure about Smith he hasn’t been terrible at home this season but absolutely useless away. Maybe Summers comes in. Think we have to take a chance with a young rider at 2nd reserve and hope they can improve throughout the season.PK will be hard to replace around Shielfield. If given the opportunity to get used to the track Harry Fletcher could do well. He wasn’t a million miles away when he was a guest for us. However Summers would be my preference is he fits. Tbf he also thinks it is 2927 next year, so there is no hope! Interesting that Oxford going for top heavy and Berwick more strength in depth. Though not sure how much is left for final 2. Assume it 40 point limit again Sure Berwick finished about 1.5 or around that over so never going to fit in an over 8 guy if say palovaara back Even at that it looks like a 2 point at

Morris, Battye, Kemp, Jenkins and Etheridge leaves 7.77 for 2 riders (assuming 40 total and that my maths is right). Leaves options along the lines of: Palovaara and a 2 pointer; Or Dayle Wood and Hodder/Foord; Or Mitchell Cluff and Sam Hagon/a 4.00 newcomer. Solid looking team so far, especially around Shielfield. Personally I'd guess Wood and Hodder as the reserves, but Cluff can't go Armadale at all and is a good gater so could be a shrewd signing for Berwick

Jake Allen and a 2.00er fit perfectly: 1 Nick Morris 7.80 2 Jye Etheridge © 6.32 3 Jake Allen 6.37 4 Reid Battye 5.32 5 Drew Kemp 7.14 6 Jordan Jenkins 5.05 7 Summers/Fletcher 2.00 40.00 Could also go with Jason Edwards rather than Jake Allen or Victor Palovaara and Max Perry rather than Jake Allen and 2.00er. Knowing theyll always have a strong reserve, I'd go for a 2 pointer & the strongest 3rd heat leader they can find. Jake Allen seems a good idea. Jake Allen seems a good idea. If Victor is coming back then that's fine with a 2 point reserve. If not then Joe Thompson with a 2 point reserve would be great as he looked ok for Plymouth at Shielfield. Other option would be Jack Smith ( if fit) along with a new 5 point rider like the Dane PK recommended who was at Shielfield one night. Jack scored a good few points at home this year which helped keep the unbeaten record, maybe more than a new 2 point rider would. Jack and a new 2 pointer would probably score about the same number of points away from home i.e. not a lot. Think these combinations fit with a 40 point limit but no doubt some maths specialist will say I'm wrong.
