Pinny 2,536 Posted June 20, 2022 Certain events in many sports have a spiritual home, in Speedways case the home of the PLRC is Sheffield. Enjoyed some great Sunday afternoons/ evenings back in the day there watching Anders and Wato. Always a huge crowd and great atmosphere. They were the days. When Stoney was Mr Workington, Wilson for Sheffield, Carr for Edinburgh, Pickering for Stoke , Wato for Newport, Coles for Exeter, Lanham for Arena, Thorp for Hull etc…. Not many supporters going to travel with work the next day and kids who are the next generation of income for teams still at school. This main men want to wake up and smell the coffee.
