Barker....Unfit to ride...because of what? Injury? drunk? anyone know why"

Too much strain on his injured shoulder from last nights rides I guess. Can't do irr either so reserves have to take his rides.Plymouth must have run over loads of black cats in Devon!!!  (Did someone mention karma?) And now Bowtell in ambulance with damaged knee after heat 1 stoppage and now withdrawn. Nb its started to spit with rain.

4 riders for Plymouth after heat 1. 3 riders in Ht 3. I would not be happy if I had travelled up from Devon for this.

I would not be happy if I was an Oxford supporter and have paid good money to go and watch this.  I hope there is a proper inquiry into why Barker was suddenly unfit and the results published.

All that way from Plymouth , and their supporters are left short changed. Another example of our shambolic sport in this country.

You are maybe best off staying quiet until it,s explained why barker withdrew.

Wouldn't be happy travelling from Swindon, Reading, Coventry etc., either, plus the few up from Devon.

It's hardly a massacre after 12 heats.

But of an over reaction from some.

Whatever the reason for Barker not riding will have to come out in the wash as they say.

Shame about Bowtell. He'd been riding very well.
