  1. Past hour
  2. Who’s to say Douglas isn’t up to the task of taking no.1? Had a world class season last year.
  3. Today
  4. Put it like this... If shale contaminates the doggy sand at Mildenhall, then the dogs will be quickly told to like it or lump it only not quite so politely! If Arc do take over Oxford dog licence and Ownership, I'd fear a similar scenario to Monmore...where the dogs would rule!
  5. John Roccio rode for Shelbourne Tigers in 1952, along with Ernie. He raced on several British tracks that year, when the team was usually referred to as 'Americans' or 'American Touring Team'. (Shelbourne book is available on Amazon).
  6. It looks like we are neck and neck with Scunthorpe in the competition to be last to announce the 2026 teams. Just a bit longer and we can win. TBH its boring now.
  7. Yesterday
  8. To me it would be logical to say a Brit who didn't ride in the Prem or Champ qualifies for the reduction. But the BSPL announcement talked about riders returning to the sport, that doesn't sound like the Ablitt scenario.
  9. He froze himself out, in a way! Declined at least two invitations to ride for clubs he judged "too far north" didn't he?
  10. Same issues at Kings Lynn, not long enough screws
  11. So everything hinges on the pit gate then! 😀
  12. what are you viewing on? maybe the page has been put smaller?
  13. Somehow I’ve double posted this thread, DOH!
  14. Makes you wonder why it was never used by the old promotion... this could be a deal breaker 😂
  15. Hopefully someone also has a really good look at the old pit gate as we all know how they can play up.
  16. I was watching the American Pickers TV series on Sky History channel (Season 26 episode 9) when they mentioned visiting a guy called Ernie Roccio. My interest peeked as I knew the history of the famed Dons rider who sadly lost his life at West Ham in 1952. This guy turned out to be his nephew also called Ernie, and was actually named after the famed speedway rider. His dad was John Roccio, who also raced back in the late 40’s and early 50’s with Ernie, but I don’t think he raced over here. Anyway, he had lots of his dad’s and uncle’s racing memorabilia, including photos, leathers, a Monarchs roll neck racing top (would that be Edinburgh?) and even racing licences for Shelbourne speedway. Well worth a watch
  17. If its a flashing light it still works half of the time

  19. The flashing light doesn't work on the tractor... I wonder if the new owners are aware of this?
  20. Think there is also a track grader that's worn out from the 70s
  21. Fully agree, covering injuries or illness is one thing but a rider having somewhere better to be is not ok it’s outright disrespectful to the people who pay their money week in week out.
  22. Don’t understand why a Premiership club would want to sign him 🤷‍♂️
  23. 9.51 points left to play with according to confirmed signings. Is Josh Pickering 11.46?
  24. If it’s Lambert and Ablitt, Ablitt would need the 8 percent reduction. Scunthorpe have 9.33 points left to play with and Lambert is 4.49 with British reduction and Ablitt would be 4.91 with British reduction
